Great location

The view was exactly what we were looking for. The bed was comfortable and everything was within walking distance. There were a few issues with the room ghat we brought to their attention and they will be fixing before they put another guest in that room.

We went last minute and it was one of the last available rooms. Its beautiful and amazingly beautiful views. I actually do noz think anywhere along that area would be disappointing. Loving New England is loving the ins ans outs of the coast walk to amazing dinner or lobster roll lunch .iysters everywhere ...I live inland and Booth bay is Heaven revisited.

The Tugboat Inn's actual room was a bit outdated and old for the price BUT I still give it an excellent rating for the view, the location, 200 steps to shopping, coffee shops, dining, exertainment (boat and fishing expeditions). The staff (front desk and cleaning staff) was nothing short of awesome.

Short visit

We only stayed for one night. Loved our room. We had a corner room that faced the water. Wonderful views. Especially to wake up to. The hotel feels a little “tired” but we gave it a 4/5 stars regardless. While check in is at 3 we did not get a call letting us know it was ready until well after 4. Luckily it didn’t matter because we were out in a boat. The restaurant has very nice views too. Food was ok. I ordered haddock and it surprisingly was “fishy” which means it was not exactly fresh 🙄 The location is perfect. Boothbay is a very small town so everything is walkable. We would definitely return.

We had a room on the first floor on the dock. Beautiful views and surprisingly quiet considering it was adjacent to a very active waterfront. The property is very central to the shops and restaurants in downtown Boothbay Harbor. The staff person who checked us in at a different property that was in common ownership recommend some excellent dining options. Checkout is at 10 am, which is a bit early compared to other places we have stayed at but it was manageable. We would stay there again without hesitation.

Be careful which room you get

While we love the property the room we were given was a major disappointment. In the back of the property, it was dark with no water frontage, view, outdoor space, and close to the street. When we voiced our displeasure the man at the desk wasn’t surprised but informed us he couldn’t do anything. After we went back to the room the front desk informed us we could be upgraded for an additional $20. We said we’d be happy to change. We went to the front desk and was then informed it was an additional $35 but were eager to pay whatever necessary for a better room. This room was little better with our only view facing motorcycle parking. Very sad
