Literally on the Utah/Nevada Border (also on the time zone line) - This is an old school motel. The sign across the street welcomes you to "Nevada HWY 50 - America's loneliest road for 30 years". This is a very welcome site when you need a place to stay/eat/fuel along on the 150 mile stretch of road between Delta, UT and Ely, NV. Best place I saw near Great Basin National Park. Casino is a few slots. A high point, was a very good cheeseburger, I was told they grind there own beef.

The beds are pretty good with nice sheets and pillows. The air conditioner and refrigerator worked well. No TV. The other parts were passable to poor. No plastic cups in the room. Tiniest garbage can ever. The staff was not friendly or welcoming. It is okay for a couple of nights if you are only sleeping in the room.

If two people are in the room, one cannot get out of bed until the other one is up, as there's only a sliver of space between the bed and the wall. In our room we found a paper bag left by a previous guest. The surroundings are a gravel surface and a bunch of trailers, all surrounded by trash . Very depressing. There also a terrible smell of old cooking oil when you open your door, from the restaurant on the oremises. The receptionist did not understand any question we asked , and was not curteous. There was hot water, and the sheets seemed clean.

Room was small, but clean. No TV, but not a problem for me. Staff was helpful, but strict on check in time. Checkout time is 10AM Pacific time and operates on Pacific time. Rooms are located in UTAH (about 200 ft from office). Didn't like bed - extremely soft. Woke up to find dead mouse in middle of room - better there, than elsewhere. Reported to clerk on checkout-appears to be fairly common. Given hotel's location - not surprising. Surrounded by desert.

Gave this 4 stars because the person working there was super friendly and helpful. The room was old and outdated, but clean and quiet. There is one place to eat and it was empty, so I was a little worried. There was a good variety on the menu and the food was excellent. There aren’t very many options for places to stay near Great Basin National Park, but this one is fine.

Cheap
The check-in process was friendly, the room small, only 1 garbage can, tiny bedside lamp that had about a 5 watt bulb. Needed to go into the bar to get ice-not great for an alcoholic.

This is a hotel and casino-restaurant in the middle of nowhere on the Nevada-Utah border. It exists because of the border. Nearby is the town of Baker and Great Basin National Park, which I visited. Accommodations are bare-bones, and the restaurant is meh. Staff are cheerful and try to help.

Rude manager, disgusting, uncomfortable.
The mattresses haven’t been changed in years, I could feel the uneven strings! I had to cover it with a picnic blanket to protect my kids. I couldn’t sleep at all! The rug is filthy, wall paper is peeling off as well as the paint in the bathroom, the heater is rotten. I checked out after one night and asked for a refund for the night I didn’t use. They said they have a 48hrs policy and that they couldn’t do anything, the ln the manager just hanged up on me!!!! This should be rank as a cheap motel rather than a hotel and it’s quite overpriced for the value. Better to drive an hour to the National Park from Ely than to stay here!
Wall paper falling off
Paint peeling, wall breaking off
Rotten heater
Disgusting rug, had several stains

This is a bare-bones motel (no tv in rooms, etc), which has a very smoky small casino in another building nearby which also serves as the dining area. Menu is very simple. I was expecting a Vegas-style casino, but no. Staff are friendly and nice, i.e. getting me a burger when the kitchen was closed, etc. If you have a choice, try a place in Baker, instead of this.

Very close to great basin, restaurant is one of the only options but is actually really good, they are very understaffed so if there are more than say 4 tables you will be waiting 30 minutes plus for a chicken wrap. Also its very likely the actual dining room will be closed and you will be eating around the very dimly lit bar, they were also out of a ton of stuff when I was there including ketchup lol. The staff they do have is friendly though. Rooms were very clean. But the mattress, lighting and furniture were very dated. NO TV dont be fooled by the pictures. Beautiful area, good for a brief stay for great basin

If you are looking for an out of the way place this is the place. Some could say that it’s a hole in the wall, but it has charm. We were camping at Great Basin national park and needed a day for showers and this place was what we neede

Tha place is located right at the border between Utah and Nevada. The diner offers excellent breakfast at a very early hour. It is super convenient for travelers as not many restaurants are available near the NP. It is quite close to the NP’s visitor center. The staff are very helpful and friendly
