The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. There is trail along the waterfront that shows many beautiful views.

A relatively large, modern (built within the last 10 years or so) full-service hotel, located right off a roundabout on the Ring Road and only 1 km from the town center. My twin room featured a large bathroom and shower, a wardrobe with good storage, ample electrical outlets, a small refrigerator and an in-room safe (although, I didn’t feel comfortable using the safe because it was not bolted to a wall or shelf). My only negative comment (besides the safe) is that when there were strong wind gusts you could hear the windows and/or exterior siding vibrate, although there was no draft in the room and I was able to get a good night’s sleep on the comfortable bed. Parking was never a problem. I would also recommend the large breakfast buffet (2900 ISK). It appears that the hotel changed hands earlier in 2024 so reviews for the previous hotel at this address – which were not always positive – are no longer relevant.

Nice room, good restaurant. Was chaotic when the tour bus arrived at the same time but thats not their fault. Convenient location if heading to the Snaefellsnes Peninsula.

The spa and fitness facilities stand out for our visit. Two nights of hot tubs and sauna were relaxing. Dining was great. Walking near the river was relaxing. Rooms were spacious and well furnished. All the amenities. Enjoyed our stay in the area.
