We had a late check-in, well after the staff had left, but the thoroughness with which they anticipated my needs was above and beyond. Alternative ways to get the keys, instructions on how to use the property, and the continental breakfast were furnished. The room was clean and beautiful, and the beds were extremely comfortable.

The location is convenient for getting around Brookline, but guests should be warned about the many stairs in the building. Getting to the top floor rooms is not for the faint of heart. And, at least in the winter, the room I was given was quite cold. When I asked about heat, I was told I had the warmest room in the house and that I should keep the heat in by closing the blinds and curtains.

We were there literally ten hours, but it was a great place to stay. Our train was stuck on the track for hours, so we missed out on our evening in Boston before a dr appt. We will be coming back to Boston, and will definitely stay here again. It is clean and comfortable, and access to transportation is great. It is a great place to stay and a great value too.
