Prior to arriving, Hilton did not reach out to let us know that their workers were on strike. 7am to 8pm workers are out front on the sidewalk with makeshift drums and airhorns. I felt bad for the workers inside the hotel but to not let customers know ahead of time that you won’t be sleeping past 7am. The noise is awful. Our room was only cleaned one out of the 5 nights. Would not stay here and the lack of communication about their situation says everything.

This is a great hotel, very busy, great location. They had a strike going on outside the hotel, so it was noisy as well as the staff on strike were the cleaning staff so our hotel room was not cleaned everyday. But I would stay here again.

Nice hotel in a good location
Hotel has a beautiful and lively lobby area with big bar. Only downside of hotel is that, although renovated, the rooms still felt old. Room was overall clean and comfortable.

Quite a disappointment
Honestly i was super disappointed with our stay. i took my family to Boston since we lost our condo in Florida due to the hurricane and based on the photos this placed looked immaculate. Everything looked the same as the photos except for our room. For $1900, we were out in an extremely small room with wallpaper coming off the wall and walked in to the heat on and the room at 80 degrees. I called immediately and they had a maintenance technician sent up to our room to fix it. He was able to fix it but made an unnecessary comment about squirrels being in the air conditioners which really made us feel uncomfortable. My husband complained and we were upgraded to another room that was larger, but still had issues with no pillows in the room and again wallpaper coming off the walls. There were protestors outside for the three days we were there and could not sleep and our children were woken up to at 6 in the morning each day. We will not be staying here again.

There was a big labor dispute at this hotel. My morning wake up call at 7 am was from the labor dispute protestors. They were shouting, yelling, beating drums, and blowing whistles all day into night. The hotel did nothing to prevent this labor dispute and it was very disruptive to guests like us. Upon check-in we were notified that there was an ongoing labor dispute, but the clerk that checked us in didn't put us in an interior facing room, but instead put us in a room facing all the noise from the protestors. On our second night, we requested a room away from all the noise, but the check-in clerks should have at least advised us about all the noise on our first night and told us that loud protesting would be taking place, so we could have told them to put us in a room away from all the noise. Overall, we are very dissatisfied with our stay here. I would say beware if you stay here and make sure and ask if there is an ongoing labor dispute and ask for an interior facing room. Also, the bathrooms are very small. We were very surprised at how little room there was.

I have stayed at this hotel before, and was left with a a great impression last time, but this time felt very different. The room was old, moldy, had a bad smell, trash from previous guest had not been emptied, and the linens didn’t seem to be well laundered. Thankfully, I didn’t need to spend very much time in the room, I knew it would be quite small but that really wasn’t a concern for me. The cleanliness was my biggest issue. Also, as I’m sure many have stated, there was a hotel staff strike going on while I was there. I am incredibly grateful that I couldn’t hear the noise from my room, but it did make common areas quite loud and uncomfortable (which is obviously the purpose, I hope that those on strike have their needs met quickly!!) Overall I’d give a 2/5 for my stay. The neighborhood and central location to everything are fantastic. I was able to walk around Back Bay, Beacon Hill, all the way up to North End and Waterfront from this spot! I was just super disappointed in the state of my room, but to be fair, grateful to not be kept awake all night and early in the morning with the noise.

The property itself is beautiful and in a great location central to most everything. However, there was a strike going on when we visited she this caused for subpar cleaning, our fridge was still filled with the previous guest food, and the bathroom was gross, there was hair all in the shower. While I respect the right to protest and strike it was very loud and we couldn’t even relax in our rooms. There was no daily maid or room service. The rates should have been reduced for this inconvenience but they weren’t. Otherwise, besides the tiny rooms,and the strike the stay would have been ok.

Wonderful customer service! I miss plan the trip by one day and we arrived one day before our reservation. The lovely lady at the check encounter was very helpful and got us taken care of so we had a room for the night. I was excited for my stay. It’s okay to walk by during the day, not the best at night. I was staying one night. They’re slowly doing construction within the hotel. Had to checkout early because of protests starting at 6 am, and it took 30 mins to get ear plugs
