We loved the Hotel it has nice modern features which at times can be gimmicky like using the tablet for everything in the room but is also convenient. Parking however can be annoying and the garages in the area are very expensive

Some elements of room was dirty (cups had mold in them) view selection misleading. We were able to change room for the view without issue. Bed comfy. We got a deal which was good value

The property relied on technology too much. Our room iPad failed and we couldn’t even turn off the light without downloading the app, signing in, registering, etc. A simple switch would have been appreciated.

Great new hotel in Boston
Had a great short stay in December at Citizen M. Inviting lobby area with just right bar/cafe offerings. Room had fun, modern design and was super clean. I had the breakfast one morning and was really impressed with the offerings. Way better than your standard hotel breakfast. Staff is friendly and helpful. Would definitely return!

This is a cool experience with a great concept - an experiment in being citizen of the world, of wherever you are. The quirky (in a refreshing, not cloying way) and artful (in the sense of being full of contemporary art) approach to a stay is fantastic. Views are great, staff is awesome, the rooms can feel a bit cramped if you spend too much time in them (especially with the shades drawn), but they have an awesome common area to hang or do work, which is ample. The canteen is great, especially the breakfast—legitimately great food, all you can eat (including barista drinks) and it’s a steal for 22 USD (as of Dec2024). Only downside is absolutely zero parking, which is not uncommon in Boston, but having a car here is an absolute nightmare. Public transit is steps away and plentiful.
