It was clean, safe and in a great location. The elevator was very slow. I am in poor health and was able to walk up to the fifth floor faster than the elevator could come with my daughter. This happened multiple times.

Says it's a 4* hotel, it definitely is not. Lovely old building, but rooms are sparsely furnished with no amenities and look very tired. Expected a coffee machine in the room for a 4* hotel, instead there was a vending machine off reception serving cheap disgusting instant coffee (even the receptionist seemed embarrassed about how bad it was).

The only thing i liked is it's closer to transit and shops. The property is very old, my room was very small with very dated furniture. The air conditioner made a lot of noise which made sleeping impossible. Carpets are very old and have some unpleasant smell which triggered me to sneeze. There is one elevator which is super slow so most people resorted to using stairs which can be daunting when one has laggage and also for the elderly. There is nowhere on Expedia or my booking that says a deposit was required 48 hours before check in. This was charged to my credit card even if my booking said I will only get charged when I stay or for a no show fee. Not sure how this property is rated 4 star. An absolute rip off. I have stayed in better 2 star properties than the Copley Square Hotel, so Expedia am sure you can do a better job to prevent such rip off through your booking platform.

I stay here regularly because I like it, and I like your prices. Also, I am always headed for an early Amtrak train out of Back Bay Station, so the hotel is an excellent choice for that. The 24 hr presence at the front desk is appreciated. The friendly, efficient, professional service from those members of the team is a big part if why I like the hopel. The 24hr snacks room is also a plus

It was affordable on graduation weekend but the room is quite petite. But I will say I knew that from the description and yet being in this small room with my husband is very tight. Yet it’s clean and the shower was very nice and the bed is comfortable .
