The most important thing to me in a hotel stay, especially as a solo female traveller, is safety, cleanliness and a comfortable bed. I definitely felt safe, the bed was comfortable but it could’ve been cleaner. Nothing massive just some surfaces haven’t been wiped for a while and it’s not usual “hotel clean”. There’s plenty of parking but it’s quite a walk with luggage to get through hallways from the external car parks to get to your room. The room was VERY dark which is something I don’t think I’ve ever commented on in a hotel review. The furniture is quite dated but it’s still doing its job. Overall it’s quite expensive for a hotel that really isn’t close to anything and needs updating.

I booked a room with two beds, but when I arrived at the hotel, they changed my reservation.They gave me a family room with two small beds and one large one, which I didn't feel comfortable in.I was with my oldest daughter and she had to sleep in one of the very uncomfortable small beds.

It was interesting. While it was “dated” the staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. It wasn’t noisy at all when we stayed but we did stay during the middle of the week. There are a couple things that can be deceiving. Breakfast is definitely something you must pay for. And the arcade is ONLY available on the weekends and is actually in the waterpark area. It was a bummer since we booked it to play at the arcade with our kid. The outside did have garbage around it and it’s a bit out of the way from anything else. One section by the ballroom also had a propane smell. Overall I can’t say I’d stay again but it wasn’t bad.

Substandard room for this hotel.

Bathroom was very cramped and had only a flimsy, free standing toilet roll stand. The counter was very small so things kept falling off it. The bed, usually the Doubletree’s very best feature was soft, somewhat lumpy and uncomfortable.
