While the property was clean and the staff knowledgeable and kind, the marketing including representation of a pool and arcade. While a pool is on site, it’s run by a fitness club. The hours provided by the hotel are meaningless as the fitness club will close the pool to hotel guests allowing their members pool access. The pool restrictions are those of the fitness club. Our adult daughter could not swim with our 10 year old as their specifications of an adult are age 21. The arcade was not open during our two day stay. While a nice hotel, not recommended with children. They do offer a water park for $30/person per day. This is open Fri-Sun.

Very unhappy w this property. Old, outdated — i.e. needs to be renovated, mildew in showers; no Netflix, everything is dusty and dirty — we needed to change rooms at first it was so bad. Seriously, nothing looks like it’s been updated or changed since the 80s. Had to call multiple times before towels were delivered. Toilet is shaky on whether it will flush or not. Barista at Starbucks counter is miserable and the police officer hitting on her is so tacky. Will never stay at another doubletree property bc of this experience. Very annoying and disappointing. Such a waste of money.

Our bathroom had mold because there is no fan and the tub didn’t drain. It was super inconvenient getting our luggage to the room from a mile away. You can’t drive to the door and there were no carts near the entrance they wanted us to use. Our room was adjoined to a family with a screaming baby.. for the price we were disappointed.

Acceptable but not a favorite

Our stay at Doubletree was fine, but not what we had hoped for. Having reserved a king bed, we were given a room with a queen and two kids’ beds. No answer at the front desk when we called to see if another room was available. On the plus side, we had two TVs, the room was clean and well appointed and the cookies at check-in were nice. The room door had to be body slammed to open or close, and there was no elevator access to our floor. That was fine going back and forth into the room, but problematic with luggage. This hotel seems to focus on hosting events. It’s a reasonable business model, but not ideal for regular overnight guests. We probably won’t be back.
