My daughter and I had a fun, witchy time in Salem. The Hawthorne is perfectly placed close to everything she wanted to see. The food and drinks at the Tavern were fantastic; the staff knowledgeable and caring, and the hotel beautiful. I would definitely stay here again.

Loved the hotel with its history and books everywhere! The whole vibe is exactly what we wanted. The coffee service in the morning was wonderful! The only negative was there was no air flow in the guestroom even with windows open.

Beautiful historic hotel. The staff are wonderful and friendly. Extremely helpful. The restaurants in the hotel are delicious and for the esthetic of the hotel. The hotel is also conveniently located near everything you’d want to do in Salem.

Great older, city hotel. The staff was very friendly, and the free parking was very convenient. I would definitely stay here again. Unfortunately, they can only have their hvac system on heat or air, so if we wanted the system running, we were too warm. Also, the room above us was being vacuumed at 8am, waking us up.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave suggestions of places to see and go eat. The hotel is historic, so it’s old, but for its age, it’s in good condition and clean, but there’s an odd smell. If you are sensitive to smells, I am, it may give you a headache. It’s very conveniently located.

This is a top-notch hotel located close to everything. The only thing we could complain about was the HVAC, as it was a little cold in our room and we couldn't get it warmer. We stayed on the 6th floor and the ghosts left us alone. We had a very comfortable night's rest.

wanted to stay here for years but it’s always booked up in fall. needed a night close to boston and jumped to stay here. loved our room. the resturant was nice. no better location in salem!
