A+ stay at aka Back Bay. This hotel was extremely clean and our room was well appointed. Conveniently located near public transportation and easily walkable to shopping and eating establishments. Would recommend this location to others and would stay here again.

The location is very good for proximity to historical sight seeing and many restaurant choices. A short walk to the Arlington MBTA subway station provides a brief ride to Fenway Park. Unfortunately we experienced small bugs in our room. Not sure if they were fleas or some other type of bug. They allow pets to stay at the hotel so it could be related to that. We made management aware and they switched rooms for our last two nights. Our stay was a total of 5-nights, Followup correspondence from hotel management informed us that they had Ecolab come to investigate the room. Ecolab claimed that they did not find any issues. That response puzzled me, as I know that we showed pictures of what we found to the hotel desk staff. Maybe the bugs left the room when we did !?!

AKA Backbay was a perfect price point in a perfect location. Close to the t and Newbury Street. Comfy beds and a huge bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff. Also gave us early and late check in.

Great hotel in the Back bay. Nearby parks, close to transportation options, including Amtrak station. Restaurants and shops within walking distance. The room was very comfortable, spacious, quiet and had all necessary amenities. The staff was efficient, helpful and friendly. Definitely return on future trips.

I was disappointed with AKA, given the price. The windows were filthy, and that was the first impression of the room. The toilet had the loudest flush ever, like a plan flush, which is tough if you are sharing a room. Also no shower cap etc. The phone in the room didn’t work and there was no room service after 10pm! On a Friday! I expect more from a hotel of this price, with a kitchen.
