Very friendly check in staff. Very friendly breakfast staff and a nice breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable. One elevator was not working so the wait was fairly long, but those things happen. I would stay here again the next time I come to Medford.

Convenient for an overnight stay on our way out of Boston (very close to I-93). Room is huge. Breakfast is adequate. Fast check-in and check-out. Good parking indoors and outdoors. Facilities are a little dated and would benefit from an update: carpets don't smell nice, lobby is not inviting, furniture and doors have dents, etc.

The bathrooms have mold in ceiling and caulking around tub was disgusting. The first night , the manager removed the mold with a bleach cleanser but by the next morning , the mold had re appeared. The place was fully booked so we couldn’t move that night. The old fans barely work so the humidity is too much, even though we had the fan on all night. The next day, we were shown 3 additional rooms, the first 2 also had mold in their bathrooms so we moved to the 3rd room that had one small tile that had fallen down . We chose to stay in that one because at least there was no mold. Next day, an entire row of tile came down on my son’s foot and his toe skin was cut. We were told the hotel is getting remodeled . I sure hope so as I will never stay in this hotel as it is .

I stayed at the Hyatt Palace Medford from the 19th September to 1st October in Room 702 on the 7th floor. Here is my view of the stay: On three separate occasions we had noisy protests outside the Hotel which was being marshalled by the police. We did not have hot water on one evening when we got back to our room. Our room did not get cleaned on one occasion so we had to ask for clean towels at 9.00pm in the evening. Only one lift worked which meant we had to wait long periods to go down to breakfast every morning. Hotel had 8 floors with 22 rooms on each floor with only 49 seats for breakfast which was totally inadequate especially at weekends. The variety of food at breakfast was very poor, same thing every alternate days. No croissants, pastries etc., Our room was quiet compared to others near the highway but was still noisy. On the positive side the staff were brilliant especially Romana who marshalled us at Breakfast magnificently every day she worked. Our room when it was cleaned was good and the room was big and the bed comfortable. I understand the Hotel is going to be revamped later this year which really needs it, can l suggest you install quadruple glazing for a nice peaceful sleep. I strongly believe we should have a refund on the monies we paid or a credit in the way of free stay at the hotel after its been refurbished. We come to Boston often and would lime to stay in your Hotel again but not in its present state. Allen & Janice Hull Room 702
