This was our second time staying at the Lakeside Inn and it will probably be our last. First time staying there we had no complaints at all. This time the room we got was quite dated. Only one outlet in the entire room worked and one of the bedside lamps didn't work at all. The furniture was practically falling apart if you touched it wrong. To top it all off the complementary breakfast made my wife explosively sick for our five hour ride home causing us to stop at ALL the rest stops on the way. Safe to say we will not be staying there again.

The only positives about this property are the staff and the parking space. Unfortunately, the rooms were not clean, with stained carpets and unclean bedsheets. The infrastructure needs significant improvement. I wouldn't recommend this place for families, but it could work as a decent option for friends looking to hang out.

Dirty and outdated

This place needs to be shut down immediately. Smell of mold is unbearable. Sheets have not been washed. Surfaces have not been cleaned forever. I believe non-Americans have bought this place and are just getting money from the guests without any investment. It’s a shame. Places location is on this beautiful peaceful lake and has a great potential.

Cold and cold

Front desk clerk was helpful. However, when my grandson and I walked in to our room, it was FREEZING. It was 9 degrees outside and the heat was not on when we entered. After 45 minutes of the heat at 85 degrees, it was still unbearable. When I called the desk, the clerk offered to try to adjust the heater and agreed to bring is extra blankets. He said if it didn't heat up, he would move us. By that time, we were pooped after a long drive and just tried to get some rest. We both slept bundled in extra socks and jackets. Breakfast in the morning was not good. Pancakes were hard on the edges. So, we gave up and left. Not even worth the very affordable price.
