So very noisy!!! No rooms are available not near their bar that has live music playing. Seemed unsafe to bring children too when there are tons of drunk people walking by at all hours of the evening. Tv in room didn’t work, and they couldn’t get working. The walls were dirty. Blinds on the windows showed light through them all through the night & included headlights from the bar pedestrians. When we first arrived the front desk person swiped two cards for us, and then supposedly threw them away, but that still made us super uncomfortable that there was just two cards to access of our room out there that we didn’t see thrown out. Hey, at least there was a nice view of the lake when we ate dry eggs first thing in the morning!

A Place to Stay Outside of Boston

The staff was friendly. Live music playing. Very clean room and up-to-date. Well lit grounds, plenty of seating in and outdoors. No elevator to second floor.

Business overnight conference. The room was below average. Hallways old room had no outlets for phone charging pillows were old and nasty foam no blanket. Just sheet and a coverlet. Walls were paper thin so could hear tv in next room

I booked my double queen room through Expedia, requesting a room on the ground floor. I had knee surgery 4 weeks ago and one of my accompanying daughters has a broken foot and is using a knee scooter. Arrived at the inn to be told there were no double queen rooms on the ground floor. And there is no elevator. The desk clerk could offer no compromise - just a room on the first level with two double beds at a higher rate. Not what I booked. I truly don't think the clerk had the authority or desire to offer or reach a compromise. We took the upstairs room. One daughter limped up the stairs while the other carried up her knee scooter. Beware - most Friday and Saturday nights there is a band playing in the restaurant. And, of course, our room was directly above the restaurant. The entire building was vibrating because the music was so loud. The bathroom had no hand towels. Both sheets and towels were worn and had pulls. When I pulled back the sheets on one of the beds, there was someone else's hair on the bed. then I looked at the Yelp reviews of the inn. Wished I had looked before I booked a room here. Avoid this place like the plague.

Front desk staff friendly and accommodating. Bar/restaurant was closed during entire stay due to planned events which was disappointing (wish I’d known prior to booking). Great location if trying to visit Boston, Salem, or even explore the area of Wakefield. Outdoor area nice. Rooms themselves need updating—no microwave, mini fridge, garbage pail and even the ice machine was down. Continental breakfast disappointing.
