Disappointment

The pictures and description of this hotel are misleading. The reality is, this is at best a 2 star hotel. Beds are not comfortable, room carpet is not clean, the shower has intermittent water pressure, the breakfast is below average even if compared to a simple Holiday Inn Express or Courtyard (I am not even pushing here). Think cold (not room temperature, cold!) hard boiled eggs. The worst part is the constant hordes of drunk people attending the beer on tap bar on the first floor. On a Sunday night there were 3x more people than the facility can hold, very loud. When asked about the noise, they indicated it would stop at 10pm, which it did, only to be moved outside where they yapped until close to midnight. Lastly, the location is not good. It is very far from the center of Boston and there is nothing in walkable distance. Everything is a 15-20 minute Uber drive. Stay somewhere else.

The property is overpriced for the offerings they have. The fitness center is not on the property & that was not clearly communicated. My mini fridge worked more like a freezer and they were unable to fix it. They hold events frequently and on weekday evenings with no notice to other guests. The events were very loud & could be heard from hotel rooms. The bathroom ceiling is low & would be problematic for a taller guest. I'm 5'2 & could touch the ceiling. The continental breakfast is not worth paying a 'resort fee' for. Plus they added other fees onto what was listed in my reservation.

**Looks can be deceiving... unfortunately.** I booked this hotel based on the photos, which looked modern and inviting—but the reality was underwhelming. The actual facilities are noticeably outdated and nowhere near the standard shown in their marketing. Breakfast was included, but don’t expect anything gourmet. The images made it seem impressive, but what they actually served was very low-quality. Disappointing at best. Also, beware: they charged a “resort fee” I was never informed about during booking. For a place that doesn’t offer true resort-level amenities, it felt misleading and unfair. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend unless the hotel seriously improves its transparency and delivers what it promises visually.
