The clerk at the front desk on checking in was awful. She said the room wasn't ready (I know that since it was 10 AM which is why we asked to check bags) and they would be ready at 3 which is check-in time (they weren't). She said we only had one room yet I held a confirmation from the hotel that we had confirmed AND PAID one night, TWO rooms, two adults. The rooms were not ready at check-in, the only ice machine wasn't working, the carpet needed vacuuming, the bathroom floors needed to be cleaned. The clerk was very condesending and unhelpful. Saturday morning's clerk was a delight, cheerful,helpful, knowlegable. I always stay at the Bostonian when in Boston, I'll rethink that. Great location for sightseeing, airport, restaurants, and shopping.

Great location in the heart of Boston

The Bostonian us a great place to stay right in the heart of Boston. Close to the famous north end, Boston garden, Faneuil hall and more. The hotel could use a little refresh but overall clean and comfortable. Self park right across the street

Completely disappointed Our room had no hot water. We called the front desk and the response was "well no one else complained". I asked for a refund ($500) and the hotel agreed stating they would make a notation so hotels.com knew they agreed to the refund as we checked out only minutes after checking in. The hotel apparently did not abide by the agreement and Hotels.com refused to refund the cost of the room we did NOT even stay in because no one at the hotel would confirm. So both the hotel and hotels.con essentially stole from a customer. Disgusting.

I loved the location. It was very convenient for us. I didn’t like that they wanted to charge extra for an early check in. The staff was very attentive. The ice machine was broken one day and when I told the front desk they sent someone up with ice for us immediately. The front desk arranged for an early cab for us
