I love this hotel. This is my 3rd time staying here for a Celtics game. 5 minute walk to TD and 10 minutes to the North end. Rooms are clean and well appointed with a spacious walk in shower with plenty of hot water.
Room was dirty and smaller than expected. Very dark hallways, the elevator took forever, and not much soundproofing of the room so could hear neighbors. Someone was smoking in the room next door so room smelt of cigarette smoke. Bathroom was extremely small and dated. The proximity of this location to where I was attending an event is the redeeming quality, otherwise I was disappointed.
hotel is very centrally located, very close to TD garden, north end, downtown. was able to walk every where.
The walls are paper thin, we heard our neighbors and their children all day and night.
Also room is very tiny but doable, and our room did not have snacks for the mini bar
Overall was great location room is a little tight but was definitely doable. Very nice. Need better outlets on the nightstands. Plugs are cheap and don’t hold any cord that you put into it.

Liked: Cleanliness
Small rooms
Room way to small, shower handle was difficult to use. No pool. Windows need cleaned
Only thing that we found that was we went into the restaurant/bar area to get a drink and redeem our $20 credit and there was no staff so we were unable to redeem our credit
I’m not one to leave reviews but I had to take the time to give credit where it is due. The Boxer was one of the cleanest and coziest hotels I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. It was in a PERFECT location- especially to walk to the garden for a game, still having lots of food options nearby along with coffee spots. Honestly we walked everywhere! The room was clean, stylish, cozy, with all the space we needed for a couple. Shower was amazing, and so was the king bed! This place was better than big name hotels I’ve stayed in for not even half the price. The staff were phenomenal! From the front desk, the cleaners, the restaurant staff and so on! Just exceptional all across the board. Please do not overlook this place when debating where to stay while in Boston. The Boxer has rust, charm and that cozy factor all wrapped nicely in a great part of town. This place will now be my go-to when visiting bean town!
We weren’t sure what we were getting when we booked. The price suggested to us that it should be pretty nice. It is. We came to see a Bruins game and the location is so convenient. The staff were super friendly. They let us leave our luggage here before check in so we could explore. Then we were able to check in a half hour early. The rooms are small, but that’s okay. We brought our two teenage boys and they refused to sleep in the same bed. When we called to ask for a cot, they don’t have any. We had to bring our own. The parking was no a success for us. They have parking but it needs only 6’1” clearing and our SUV with its carrier is taller than that. We had to find parking elsewhere. Overall it’s a good spot for those wanting some close to TD Garden or the aquarium and Quincy Market. The price wasn’t too bad (a little more than I would have liked, but worth it).
The staff was the shinning gem of this property. Every person we interacted with was polite and pleasant and felt like they were going above and beyond.
Rooms were clean and updated. Perfect location for events at TD garden.
