The hotel was the worst. Did not receive upgrade. The woman at the front desk was rude. They didn’t clean our room and did NOT have service over the weekend. Did not try to accommodate. The worst. Do not recommend

Hotel was nice, small rooms. But there was a security issue - staff gave the person who stayed in my room before me a key to get in when I was there because this woman’s thought she left her purse there. Apparently there was confusion because the staff member thought she had just left and didn’t know anyone was now in the room. But it was disturbing. Management was apologetic and offered me some comps which was appreciated. I will stay there next week for 1 night. I would hesitate for a longer stay unless I knew this was dealt with.

This hotel charges an “amenity” fee which is a hidden cost. It is $22/day for bottled water, it is not optional, and it’s payable upon check in. This is just dishonest pricing. Also, my room (609) smelled strongly of building materials because it looked like the shower was recently replaced.

The only reason I‘m not giving it 5 stars is that we had to get out at 2.30am for a firealarm with no further explanation after my husband had a surgery the day before. Otherwise we liked the hotel.

Being across the street from the TD Garden, is only thing I really love about this hotel. Calling this hotel 4 star is a bit of a stretch. Also, $20 a day charge is crazy for the burnt coffee in the lobby. I have a status that would allow me for a room upgrade or a late checkout, and I was denied both of those upon checking in, which is fine I guess. The room I booked had a huge beautiful window, and I was shocked when I opened the door to my room. I will not be staying here again. Save your money and go somewhere else.

no vending machines for water or snacks. restaurant closes after breakfast and opens later for short dinner. After that We need drinks and other things so we don’t have to walk to the stores in 6 degree weather because we are thirsty. I always gave 5 stars, but new owners put a lid on the extras for now.

Everything from check in to check out was amazing! The young lady who checked me in was very polite and kind. My room was very clean and tidy. This is a historic building, it was expected that the room was not going to be large. It was perfect for two people. Ideal location in the North End and conveniently a very quick 3 minute walk to TD!!! This helped after the Bruins game and the chilly night air. West End Johnnies was a 1 minute walk away and the perfect place to go before the game (the meatballs are absolutely amazing)! Check out was fast and the coffee in the lobby was nice that early in the morning! Ideal location for anyone travelling to Boston. I walked all around the city from here easily (try DirtyWater Dough pizza… a bit of a walk in Back Bay, but so worth it)! Could not have asked for a better experience with the hotel!

Terrific location, friendly staff, clean room, great price. Be sure to unplug the alarm so it doesn’t go off at 6am and put out the DND so housekeeping doesn’t knock 2x before you have to check out.
