The air conditioner in the room wasn't working, so I requested a room change. The front desk sent a staff member to check it, but they didn't fix it. I contacted the night shift staff twice, but they refused to change my room, insisting that the air conditioner was working fine. Poor service attitude

You had to walk over the bathroom seat to go in the shower, the tv kept going off saying there was no signal even after they came to fix it. A fire alarm went off at 6:45 am and there was no fire yet we had to wait outside.

Like other folks have said, the Arcadian is just fine. It is very near the T so it is convenient for visiting the Boston area. The destination fee is very silly, there is no pool or other resort-like amenity that justifies that sort of extra charge. The breakfast is fine, nothing fancy but is was available and got us fed before we headed out the door. The room was clean and the staff were pleasant. I would stay again if I found a similar deal on expedia but I wouldn't pay more than $150/night given the bare bones amenities.

Overall the room was clean and nicely decorated with a modern flair. The bed was very comfortable. However the room was dimly lit. For someone that needed to work at the desk provided, there was only a very dim table lamp which barely provided any lighting. I needed to drag the heavy floor lamp across the room to be able to properly work and even that didn’t light up the room very much. There was also a very loud humming noise coming from the building that made it difficult to sleep at times. The ice machines were only on the 3rd and 5th floors and were a bit away from the elevators. They were also very loud and I would not want to be in the room across from the machines (this could have been part of the noise I hear from my floor, but I couldn’t tell)
