Our room on the 3rd floor was noisy all night. There was lots of machinery noises that sounded like motors, elevators and pumps. Often they would wake us up. The floor in our room, especially the bathroom was freezing. We appreciated the location and proximity to the hospitals, which is why we stayed there. There are some delicious restaurants within an easy walking distance, so there's no need to eat at the hotels mediocre restaurants. The staff was very friendly, and there's a nice vibe there.

It’s a solid 4-star hotel, but it didn’t fully meet 5-star expectations. Some details and overall value could be improved for the price point — at least to reach true 5-star luxury standards. On arrival, there was no door or luggage assistance, and we ended up handling bags ourselves, which is especially disappointing in cold weather. Shortly after check-in, housekeeping attempted to enter our room and asked about checkout, seemingly unaware we had just arrived. Bathroom amenities were limited and often had to be requested, and the bathtub had no toiletries (everything was only in the shower’s wall-mounted dispensers).

No heat one night (2 degrees outside!), television didn’t work, unbelievable loud music second night from DJ in lobby from 9pm-11:30pm. No response by phone to front desk or concierge ever, had to go in person. This is luxury hotel? Manager lovely, but not relaxing stay as intended.

Smelled like a sewer from the moment we entered the lobby and no one would acknowledge the elevator from the entrance was even worse. Everyone visiting was complaining. The front desk refused to acknowledge it. My eyes burned the entire next day after my stay even though the smell wasn’t noticeable in our room or in the elevator leading to our room.not what you expect from a “luxury” brand Marriott hotel. Very disappointing. They are obviously having an issue, and staying here is unhealthy right now.

One of the escalators at the front did not work for the entire 3 day stay. But the real problem was the noxious odors in the entrance and adjacent lobby areas. It was stomach turning and persisted the entire 3 days. Not a pleasant experience.

The Liberty Hotel has a beautiful lobby and nice aesthetic. The history of the hotel and how it was once a jail is interesting but the room was not luxurious or 5 star caliber. The bed was uncomfortable, the shower pressure was weak, and the room had no modern amenities that you would find in other 5 star hotels. The staff were not pleasant at all. My wife and I felt like we didn’t belong there. The check in was not welcoming or accommodating at all. I will not stay here again or recommend to others.
