The setting was beautiful and we enjoyed the close proximity to hiking trails. The one drawback was an outdoor porch light we couldn't seem to control that shined in and made it more light at night than we liked. It appears to be on a timer because it would be off in the morning.

This place is utopia to me! I love absolutely everything about it! We have stayed several times and I will always stay here when I go to Boulder, as long as it isn’t booked up! From the location to the vibe, to the food, to the cozy bungalow. There’s nothing wrong with this place! It’s heaven!!

A wonderful place for a respite!

Very charming and quaint cottage. Unfortunately, there was a heat wave and the cottage was so hot so as to border being unbearable, especially at night. There was a portable AC unit which was insufficient for the space. I think at any other time of year, the cottage would be very pleasant. The cleanliness was borderline. The linens were impeccable, but there was a large wad of black hair along the baseboard in the bathroom as well as other visible hair on the tiles. These deficits were apparent at check-in and therefore colored our perception of the cleanliness of the unit. The dishes and silverware were clean and the refrigerator was very nicely kept as well. Only the bathrooms needed additional attention. One neighboring home had year-round residents who were not friendly and bordered being strangely hostile. This was puzzling as our party was geriatric with no smoking, drinking or music. Everyone else on property was professional and appropriate. The walking trails nearby were easily accessible and excellent, well-traveled and safe. I think you will really enjoy your experience at Hotel Chautauqua if you pick seasonable weather and enjoy a cottage setting in a picturesque environment.

I am very happy that I booked this accommodation. I really enjoyed the nature around the lodging and the room was lovely. It was nice to have a small kitchen in the room. The staff were very helpful and responsive. I was staying in a building with several units. In the future I would stay in an upstairs unit or a stand alone cottage. There was someone above me who walked very heavy on their feet. Saving grace was that we were on the same schedule. I would definitely stay at this place again,

A perfect place to stay in Boulder & feel reset. Close to all the city stuff but also amazing to have all the hiking trails and nature right at your finger tips. Added bonus is to come down from your evening hike in the mountains to this beautiful neighborhood & overhear strands of live classical music drifting through the air. Magical, truly
