The Red Roof offeres a cpmparable room to and Hotel in the area at a very reasonable price. No they dont have a pool or offer a free breakfast, but you can buy a great breakfast at the local Cracker Barrel wih the money you saved...including the tip. Staff is friendly and its a nice place to stay. This is my 3rd time staying at this property. Great people.

Upon check in the staff was very friendly! Our room was on the ground level! It was 96 degrees outside and our room was a cool 70! Room was very clean, bathroom was cleaner than some 5 star hotels! I was a little worried as all of the rooms are outside entrance but no problems whatsoever!! We would definitely stay there again!! Great price for a nice room!

This was a decent hotel. There are no amenities however, so nothing to brag about. We rented two rooms. One had some ticks and other bugs that had came in from outside. These rooms are all exterior though, so it’s more expected. Overall cleanliness was good. Pillows were not very comfortable.

If you like dirty rooms and rude front desk people, this is the place for you! Immediately upon entering the lobby, we noticed a foul smell. Once checked in and saw our room, we checked the bed and noticed a significant amount of dead bugs/flies on both beds covering the pillows and sheets. We got out of the room as fast as we could and went back to the front desk. After telling the front desk person what we witnessed, we could instantly tell that we were NOT the first people who had this problem. The worker got defensive very quickly, and tried to claim that this was normal for the area, even going as far as claiming that local hospitals have the same bug problem. The worker offered to change rooms, but after reading other recent reviews and based on our experience with the hotel thus far we had no confidence that the second room would be any better. After being denied a refund, we booked a hotel right across the street that miraculously did not have the bug problem that is apparently so common here.

The room was clean and safe. Many places to eat within walking distance from the hotel. The drive to Mammoth cave was 15 minutes

The room was newly renovated and very clean. The water pressure was wonderful! We had a king bed, a desk and chair, a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and the best part was a dining table with TWO chairs!

Although property was 'non-smoking', room smelled of stale cigarette smoke. Don't know if room had been previously a smoking room or not. Was awakened several times I throughout night by strong odor of cigarette smoke. I don't know if someone in the rooms next door was smoking or if someone was standing outside by air conditioner was smoking.
