Away for work

One night stay for work. Looks like an Alpine lodge from the outside, inside very smart interior. Professional greeting at reception. When I stayed the restuarant was not open, but yoyu could get food served from the bar and the "pub" downstairs - I chose to eat elsewhere. I was in room 236, which was huge. The ensuite had a walk in shower and a bath. The room had a desk to work at, a great TV on a movable walk bracket, as well as 2 sofas. Bed was comfortable but the sofa was not. Wifi in room was good. The hotel car park was free.

We really enjoyed our stay overall but mostly the first 24 hours. The second 24 hours went into half term and it seemed like it was a surprise to the hotel they hadn’t prepared for. There wasn’t enough breakfast prepared. The pool was closed for classes. I can guarantee two children and several big kids went away disappointed at the end of our stay.

Great stay in a nice hotel

We stayed here while we were visiting friends in the area. The hotel was busy as there were events on both of the evenings of our stay. The room (452) was clean and modern. There was a plug socket near the mirror, so thumbs up for that and two big, well-lit mirrors in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable, and there was a window in the room that could be opened. The breakfast was tasty and the staff were friendly.

Hostile and aggressive receptionist

Didn’t sleep the first night, heating was blowing out cold air even when switched off. When asking for help at reception, was called rude, a liar and the receptionist didn’t like our attitude! The aggressive and hostile receptionist wouldn’t give me her name. Have written to the Manager with a formal complaint, not had a reply as yet. Have been staying here for over 15 years and it’s been really good but will not be going back after the horrible way we were treated.

Swiss dreams at Bracknell

I had a lovely stay in this funky swiss dream set in Bracknell. It is, according to the plaque at the front door, a 90s hotel but under gradual renovations so some areas are super fresh - some not so much. My room was definitely bigger than what I paid for, and clearly very recently done up. As said in previous reviews, yes, pretty on the outside but that shower does need a good 20min to heat up. Be patient! The view was the parking lot... there is a lot of parking. The pool and sauna downstairs are not so done up... just yet. The steam room was also out of order so it was close quarters in the tiny sauna and pool haha! Very surreal experience! Breakfast room... yes, level: very retro. The breakfast did not blow my mind but I enjoyed the time travel aspect. It was £15. The lounge bar is nice and I had a lovely coffee and got great service. Honestly, for the money it's a great overall experience!

The hotel itself was fantastic, the bars and restaurants were very good and the staff were very polite and helpful. I was disappointed by the pool and gym areas as I was unaware that these areas were also member accessible from outside the hotel. As a result the gyms was very busy, there were swimming lessons in the pool and the general area felt a little run down. The sauna was packed and the hot tub was not even remotely hot. I attempted this area once and not again which was disappointing as I only chose this hotel because of the gym and pool.

Easy stay

Comfortable, independent-themed hotel with a taste of the alps - yes really, in Bracknell! Hosting a workshop on-site during the day too, and well looked after by the hotel’s conference team.

Wonderful stay

Absolutely wonderful stay. The lady at the reception - Qudsiya - was very polite and courteous. I requested a room with a bath tub and she kindly provided me that. Highly recommended.
