I was quite surprised to see all the security guards as I have stayed here before and never experienced a guard inside at every entrance door. Then I saw a bunch of Hells Angels roll in, wearing their patches and everything. Turns out the bikers are heading out west to attend a funeral of their Canadian spokesman or something and the security guards were there, hired by the Red Cross because of the fire evacuated folks were staying there. I'm still unsure if that was all necessary tbh. I have had by far, more positive interactions with these folks than not.

I asked for a ground floor, but the receptionist was not flexible or compassionate enough to do her best. We came all the way from Quebec and I have 3 pets with me. The property has no elevator which could have helped my situation. She took my $100 damage deposit, and took her time to explain their policy. I ended up backing out without getting any service. Very frustrating.

Property is not sound proof and starting to be run down . Waterslide is broken and the air conditioning unit in our room was not working properly. They brought in a portable unit but did not even vent it outside so it did not work. We bought an extension cord and ran it across the room from the original air conditioner and it worked just fine. Obviously the outlet it is plugged into has something wrong. Mattresses on the beds are worn out as well. Very uncomfortable.
