Branson weekend trip

The room was clean, desk clerk was friendly, check in and out was easy. Rooms were clean and basic. For the money it was worth it. Location was close to the landing and easy to get to back roads and routes to get around congested traffic. The floors could’ve used a good mopping and the bed and pillows could’ve used a major update. Other than that it was do able.

The room was clean for an old property. The biggest distraction, which made a very poor first impression, the office/check in area was deplorable in general. The area behind desk was dirty, cluttered with what appeared to be business related paperwork and other "junk". The 2 women working the desk were all business like but far from welcoming or friendly. I 100% won't be returning. I usually frequent the Dutton Inn or one of the bigger, nicer hotel chains, Best Western, Quality Inn, Holiday Inn, etc. On a recent visit I had noticed the Motel 6 appeared to be cleaner than usual, maybe fresh paint, so thought I'd give them a try, my mistake. Of course you get what you pay for and the price was right.

You always get what you pay for. If you just want a bed, you’ll get not much more. And we know that w/Motel 6. The bed was a bit hard for our liking, but I guess most people like firm ones. Maybe a soft one could be an offered option We were about stuck ‘out in the cold’ when we were shuttling bags to the car, the room door accidentally was closed/locked & the key was inside. We went to the office but there was no one in at 6:00 in the morning. We resigned to wait in the car till someone showed up at the office, but to our relief found the other room key we’d left in the car! Is there no way, for a motel that’s totally full, for anyone to get ahold of management at the office after hrs in case of an emergency!?! My phone was in the room, too. Not sure if It’d have done any good anyway. Our careless mistake.

The area was quiet and easy to get to. Our room was very clean and looked to be remodeled. Everyone I talked to was very pleasant and helpful. We had trouble with the lock on the door. We weren't in the room a lot so we had all we needed except a hair dryer and shampoo. I had morning coffee but it would have been nice to have a continental breakfast. It worked out fine.
