Learned my Lession..

Have stayed here several times and put up with conditions because of price... This time very disappointed since no hot water in sink, Was NOT a NON SMOKING room so smelled like an ashtray..AC made loud noise also.. The room was very clean by the maid , so give credit there.

It’s not the worst motel in town. It could be cleaner and the room needed some maintenance. The door would not shut on the bottom. The smoke detector was gone. The manager told me as long as I didn’t smoke in the room it shouldn’t be a problem. Lol I wasn't worried about my room on fire as much as the rest of the hotel. The hotel has a working truck yard next door. It’s very noisy. All and all not the worst I have stayed in. We will not be staying here again.

Motel 8

The room was clean but very dated, hair dryer didn’t work had a new one sitting on safe but needed to be wired. Iron spit out black water staining clothes. No Kleenex, remote wouldn’t work unless you were close up. Knob on bathroom door falling off hard to get out of bathroom. Security latch on door was broken didn’t help secure door. AC hard to control temperature. Owner was not friendly. Not worth the money.

The owners were nice and helpful but….the tub faucet leaked, the plug for the hairdryer didn’t work, the tv was broken, the breakfast was minimal and overall the facility just needs to be upgraded. Only good thing about the property was the kindness of owners, location and price.

Non-Super 8

It's obviously a rather old-school motel, which isn't at all a bad thing. The floors in our room were fake-wood, not carpet, which was also not a bad thing. Much easier to keep clean. However. -Despite not being right over the lobby, we could clearly hear the lobby doorbell from our room. At all hours. -There was a wall-rack for an iron and ironing board, but it didn't have either. Which is probably for the best, since the mounting screws were loose and it was about to fall off the wall. -The phone in the room looked broken, with many missing buttons. -The wall next to the bathtub had the baseboard fallen off and lying on the floor. -There were several holes in the shower curtain. Small ones, but holes. -The bedside lamp had space for two light bulbs, but one bulb was missing. We've stayed in a number or hotels, including other Super 8s, and this place had one of the worst breakfasts we've seen. Pretty much just waffles, cereal, and bananas. The last day of our stay we didn't bother with it, just got food on the way back through Giddings. Overall, very disappointed, especially since most of these issues were easily fixable with very little effort. If we come back to Giddings in the future we will NOT be staying here, and we suggest you don't either.
