The booking site advertised the room as having a mini fridge and coffee machine! Didn’t have! The bed was a very small double and extremely uncomfortable, coupled with the noise all night, not much sleep had. Staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel clean, would possibly book again if a different room ( not right outside the lift) was allocated.

Lovely personal. And not bad services for 3 star hotel. I didn't expect to leave at room for the disabled person. The curtain holder in the bathroom collapsed while I was taking a shower. There hairdryer cable does not reach the mirror because the sockets are located far from the mirror. Nice place in the city center close to the sea , lots range of shops and restaurants

Never Again!

So much was wrong with this stay, we booked for two nights but only actually stayed one ! See the photo, burn holes in bedding, about sums it up. Never again... NB: The Manager was "supposed" to contact me, never heard at thing. The images are also incorrect: there is no Coffee Pod machine in the room.

Decent budget hotel with comfy beds, a good shower and a nice breakfast. But 2 things simple things are sorely needed... Please - install soft close doors, no more slamming all through the night, drives you nuts it does :( And a towel hook on the back of the bathroom doors would a wonderful addition.

Considering the hotel is on west street it was quiet ( level 1 room 23 ) , I’ve also stayed on level 2 and 3 which was ok as well , I’ve worked in Brighton now for 7 months ( contractor) and this was the best place in my experience on a budget that I have stayed ( I’ve stayed in quite a few ) , modern rooms with a fridge, kettle and a fan which made things easier especially the fridge ( other hotels take note ) , staff were great … FairPlay to you , thanks 🙏.

Good very reasonable hotel in good location at the top of Preston Street with all the restaurants and pubs. Comfortable bed and good size shower. Although the decoration is basic for the price it’s very reasonable including a good cooked breakfast.

Lovely staff, Lovely location, lovely and clean. I would not stay at this hotel again as in warm weather you need to keep your windows open and the street noise is horrendous. Had about 1 hrs sleep all night.

Handy for Brighton or Hove

The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from Brighton station on the busy Western Road which continues along to Hove. The reception is at ground level between shops with all rooms at higher levels. My room was satisfactory though the mattress was a bit springy. Furnishings were functional – the shower was good plus there was a safe and little fridge contained within the wardrobe. Rooms are serviced upon request at reception. The buffet breakfast offered various hot and cold items. Boiled or fried eggs were cooked to order as an alternative to the scrambled ones in the buffet. My boiled egg was very under cooked but they did a better job with the fried eggs. Considering the location there was not much external noise at night but my stay was mid week. I’m a light sleeper and I was awakened early each morning by delivery vans. My friend had a different room and he was kept awake by an air conditioning unit on an adjacent lower roof. He was able to change rooms the next day and was told the unit was connected to the Sainsbury’s store. As the hotel just has a doorway on the street level I found many guests who smoked stood around this entrance so that did not create a good appearance. Overall the hotel is similar to a Travelodge in a central location – not far from attractions, bus routes, shops and the beach. The staff I met were pleasant enough and I would probably stay there again.

A mix between a YHA and student halls

If you can’t get a YHA and you have to find the cheapest room you can and aren’t looking for any thrills; this is the hotel for you. It’s like student accomodation with an en-suite toilet but we had an awful mattress.
