This hotel needs much updating. It’s very tired looking. We were offered an upgrade on the day to a sea view room which was very nice of them….but the bathroom was awful, I complained to reception and was told many people complain about the bath…it’s not dirty, it’s the way it is 😱. We used the pool but was only given 3 towels (4 of us) and was told it is what it is, it’s half term! We had dinner in the restaurant which was ok, but my son wanted vanilla icecream for pudding and was told he can’t have even though my other son had the brownie that came with vanilla icecream, therefore 1 grumpy child that couldn’t have a pudding! Overall this hotel wasn’t worth the money I paid and I wont be returning.

The hotel was excellent staff very friendly and helpful. Facilities were excellent you even get the option to use the spa and swimming pool for free when you stay here. The only one downside is the staff didnt keep up with the hot breakfast food so there was along wait for some of the food. But will stay there again in the future.

I love the location and sea view. The exterior could do with painting as the rusty attachments bleedvand age the building. The furniture in my room is tired and needs an upgrade. Its a lovely hotel, despite that and the staff are great. Some much needed TLC for the hotel.

Disappointing at best.

A hotel that seems like it was amazing 15 years ago and nothing has been done to keep it that way since. Check in staff were lovely, though we felt pressured into accepting an upgrade for an extra £20. The room itself was then a suite which was nice and comfortable but lacking a bit of looking after. Lots of the paint was flaking, the bathroom sink had a crack in the bathroom sink and silicone coming away. The bedding was clean and both bed and sofa were very comfortable. Unfortunately the windows were not double glazed and there is a beach bar right outside - leading to a lot of noise throughout the night. Plus the rattling from the wind! The breakfast options were good, when they were there. However I’m not sure why there was a sign saying “wait here to be seated” when staff then told you to find your own table. Staff were brusk and bordered on rude; not just to us but to other staff within earshot. Not a spa hotel as advertised - a hotel with access to a local health club. Not a relaxing environment in the “spa” at all.

Lovely seaside hotel

We enjoyed being next to the sea. Lots of lounge areas. Great breakfast. Hotel a little tired but very popular and great location. Very pleasant stay.

Business in area. The Hotel was clean and comfortable. But the décor and furnishing appeared quite tired. Shame as the location and building are great. Parking is very expensive in Brighton.

Excellent stay, my room was nice and clean room. My tub spa experience in my room was amazing. Even though it was a cold stay, I was provided with extra heating and blankets as disabled couple. Sauna and stem was perfect, nice swimming pool but could have been warmer/ only criticism. Breakfast was good. I will definitely book here again.

Terrible service in a tired hotel.

Arrived to check in at 3.30 and was told room wasn’t ready despite it clearly saying on website check in is from 3 and there being a queue of people checking in. We were told check in was between 3-4 and to go out for half hour. No apology or offer of a drink while we wait. When we went back at 4 the receptionist had to phone to check room was ready and practically threw the key at us stating room number. We had to ask him where we were going. Room itself was ok but the windows are so dated and the wind was so bad it was like we were in a tent in Scotland. Bathroom was really dated. Great location but that’s it. Wouldn’t go back.
