A delightful stay at the Stamford plaza. It is away from the cbd and we walked a bit but it’s quiet and leafy and right on the river. The view from our room was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful. All up , a good experience that we shall repeat.

The bedroom and the beds were very comfortable. Traditonal, old style luxury wiht a lovely view of the river. However the breakfast area has undergone a re-modelling, which yuo either love or dislike , like marmite, and we found it very strange. Not in keeping with the style of the hotel. The bar likewise was rather cold in relation to comfort.

Location location location!

Absolutely loved the location of this hotel. Really convenient for seeing Brisbane by night, using the river ferries and eating out. The staff at check-in were friendly and helpful and the room was old-fashioned but comfortable and with an amazing view. We did a deal to include parking and breakfast and that worked well for us. Breakfast was good and we enjoyed eating it outside next to the river. We were sad to be only there for one night so didn’t have time to use the swimming pool which also looked great.

I found the Stamford Plaza conveniently close to the city center and the Botanic Gardens. It was easy to access City Cats for transport. I had a lovely view over the river including city lights at night. Staff were helpful. I very much enjoyed breakfast, loved the omelets! My room was spacious and my bed very comfortable.
