Terri, on reception was very informative on arrival thank you. However can only judge a property on how they deal with problems we had a problem with damp carpet outside bathroom which was not dealt with at all. Room smelling damp. We were offer room switch but late check in wasn’t really appropriate. Food and drinks very expensive, no invoice given on checkout had to ask what price of drinks were not good. Only when pressed to offer some compensation for damp carpet they refunded the cost of the 2 drinks we had.

We have stayed in this hotel many times. The hotel has some nicely appointed rooms on the higher levels. It is good for parking as well. The lower levels are dated and our room this time had the shower over the bath. A bit precarious for us oldies. Staying just one night seems to put you on the lower levels.

The only problem we found was the bathroom sink when the water is on when washing hands or face it dosent drain very well, but other than that it was a hotel with a rooftop bar and received a free drink ticket.

The location is excellent with an enjoyable 30 minute walk into the Brisbane CBD across Story Bridge. The breakfast and dinner service is superb. The cleanliness of the bathroom, in particular, was poor. It had not been properly cleaned with a set of false eye lashes left on the basin tap; the other pair left on the tiled floor. Dark hairs across the floor. The manager on duty was kind enough to offer a meal voucher to compensate the unpleasant bathroom experience. The bedroom and lounge was tidy but the overall condition of the room looked tired. Not four stars that is for sure.

Cleanliness was fair, I understand it's hard to clean everything, but I don't the upper level rooms were left in the same state. No soaps in dispenser, very cheap awful towels. Walls have marks and patches that require repairs. Have and will stay at another property nearby that's cheaper and nicer rooms. The Staff, Restaurant for Dinner and Breakfast buffet was the highlight of the venue.

Good location near the city but not in the middle of it. Spacious room with comfortable King bed (not 2 single beds), good walk in shower, bath as well, large towels, free parking under building, good restaurant and room service.
