Hotel lovely and great position for exploring. Car park 12 per day which I hadn’t read in reviews. Limited free parking voucher from hotel but very few spaces.. and a number of parking tickets given out when we were there. Room 33 clean and size adequate. Bed ver comfortable.. only concern was that it was very noisy from all I can presume was some heating vents in the ceiling . Breakfasts were outstanding with lots of choice and staff all lovely and welcoming

I really liked the decor, the room was big ( we stayed in a classic room) and the bed comfortable and it was quiet. No road noise, or pedestrian noise , despite our room overlooking the street. Nice shower! The room had tea and coffee making facility : a selection of herbal teas and english breakfast teas ( maybe a bit more biscuits would have been nice). We used the hotel’s resident parking permit to park on the road& it was just so easy to find lovely bars/ restaurants& cafes within a few minutes’ walk from the hotel.

Little details go a long way

We loved our stay, the hotel feels classy, comfortable and welcoming. Our room had a fantastic view of the bridge and gorge and there were small touches that really went a long way. Heated floor in the bathroom, heated mirror too and a really good shower. Comfy bed and plenty of space plus exceptional blackout curtains so we had a fantastic night's sleep. Location is good for views and proximity to the bridge and Clifton and is pretty chilled even on the weekend. We'll definitely be back.

Pleasant Stay With A Great View

Very good stay at the Avon Gorge, On street parking was quite easy to find but we did arrive a couple of hours early and did notice around booking in time 3pm things were significantly busier. Very friendly reception who gave plenty of information relevant to our 1 night stay. We booked a Deluxe Balcony room on the first floor with a view of the Clifton Suspension Bridge, The room smelt fresh and clean upon entry and everything was maintained to a good standard. Some reviews have pointed out rooms are too dark but we didn't find this to be the case and found the lighting adequate and atmospheric for the room size. The balcony was very spacious and offered amazing views of the bridge and valley. Shower was very good consisting of a rainforest and wand set up which was powerful and reached temperature quickly and also included a good selection of products shampoo etc. Bed was spacious and comfortable, Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of fresh food on offer also the staff were very attentive during service. So to sum up we had an enjoyable stay with an amazing view of the Bridge Thank you 😊

Let itself down with food service

Comfortable room but had to hunt for the switch to turn on the bathroom radiator which we finally found under a table. A notice would have been helpful! We had the Sunday roast. Food was pleasant but timing of the service was very poor. Meat was brought out, eventually followed by cauliflower cheese (with no serving spoons). After a further lengthy break, the green vegetables were brought out, by which time the meat was getting cold. Not a great restaurant experience.
