The Hospitality of the staff made my stay highly enjoyable.
Breakfast is the best meal of the day and the Ibis provides a great breakfast.
Evening meals and drinks are good value for money and they are a good size meal too.
I will definitely visit again.
We've never stayed in an Ibis hotel before and weren't sure what to expect. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. The area around the hotel was nice and quiet. There is a Sainsbury's and a Wetherspoons in a short walking distance. We were close to the train station, which was convenient because we travelled there on the train. Overall we were very impressed with it and would definitely stay there again.
Basic mart, clean, air conditioned rooms. Reception area smart and staff went above and beyond in helping me with a travel query. Worth doing the Accordion loyalty program for decent perks like wi fi. BUT my room only had a non transparent window, a covering was over it to hide building works..I felt this should have been mentioned before I arrived at the room. TV is also a bit small for a modern room of a reputable chain.
Overall, I really liked the property although the amenities could be improved - softer towels, hand towels and wash clothes, a recycling basket for paper, plastics, etc.
Front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Property is well maintained; room was very clean.
Incredibly basic, no thrills even in the slightest. However, they somehow manage to get even the basics wrong.
So we had no WiFi the entire time we were there, as they had an unprotected WiFi service without a password that when we tried to connect our devices to we were told by our devices that it was unsafe and not secure.
We contacted staff to do something about it and they showed up about an hour and a half later and said they'd call their provider and fix it offering us a free breakfast as a way to say sorry.
I was then contacted again say half an hour later by the hotel and told that I needed to contact their internet service provider to sort the issue. So the hotel itself could not provide WiFi and I was now having to give up my evening no doubt waiting on hold in order for me to sort it for the hotel. The laughable assumption that I when staying away want to spend my whole night on hold is ridiculous.
The worst thing is as we checked out they did not even mention the free breakfast they had promised to us. We had been told by staff we would get it in person the night of the WiFi issue, we only stayed one night, and then had been sent a communication later saying we would get it and yet when we check out which was around breakfast time the staff on the reception didn't go oh yes room x you have both been given a free breakfast please this way breakfast starts in a few minutes.
They were also not very apologetic in person.

The location was under construction and hard to find . And PARKING was a good walk away and as I am in my 70’s found it a mission . For the money paid , so not worth it , we left a night early and unfortunately couldn’t get reembursed as it was a third party booking . Would not recommend .
