We would not stay here again. Con- no wardrobe/shelves. We had to keep our clothes in the case. One short hanging rail which we had to hang towels on as no bathroom hanging space. There is very little space in the standard room to move about. No mini fridge for cold drinks and medication (no rooms have them) Currently this property is being renovated. According to locals because of fire safety issues with their cladding. I've not fact checked that. Either way approaching this hotel is awful it's all scaffolded. Pro- cleaners do a great job and reception were helpful Parking is available with discount on a public car park over a busy main road. Spaces are a good size and it is well patrolled. Location - near to main shopping area, quite a messy area lots of through traffic but we didn't hear any car noise inside. Close to some good coffe and pastry spots.
The only place to store/hang clothes and towels in the room.

The best hotel in Bristol

The best stay we've had in quite a while! It was clean, quick and efficient. Definitely a quirky space to fit in with bristols culture. The "breakout space" is large and open 24/7 with plenty of places to sit as a group or off quietly with a book. The cocktail on entrance was definitely welcome after all my train delays. Will definitely be back

Boiling rooms, broken air con

3 weeks apart 2 trips no aircon during heatwave, 27/28⁰C rooms and an "oh, we can get you a fan". no interest in the comfort of guests, And ducted temporary air con units installed by the bar, so at least the staff are comfortable

I’ve stay a few times and never had any issues. However on my last stay after they took payment the reception staff then told me there was no air conditioning (it was 31 Celsius outside!) and that there may be work men present on scaffolding out side my room between 9am and 5pm. I arrived in my room to find it very hot so went back to reception and asked if I could possibly have a fan. I was then questioned as to why and what temp my room even was,

The air conditioning system is controlled by the central system. It is set at around 26 degree Celsius. You probably need to open the window for some fresh air and cool the room down. But there is scaffolding right now. So, it will be super dusty for opening the window. The noise from the surrounding will also stop you from taking a good rest.

The hotel is having a revamp. The whole front of the hotel is covered in scaffolding.this means even on the 3rd floor people are walking right outside your window. The Aircon didn't work my room started at 26°C but by 2am it was up to 30°C I opened the window to cool down but it is the noisiest road I have ever stayed on. All in all I only managed to sleep for 30mins. On top of this I had to pay for 2 rooms because I wasn't allowed to cancel one.

St Paul’s Carnival noise disturbance

The hotel itself was lovely, very clean and the staff were super friendly. What we didn’t realise (which is our fault!) is that St Paul’s Carnival was on the same night, with the hotel backing on to St Paul’s the noise was ridiculous. It was so loud it felt like the room was shaking. Desperate for a decent nights sleep, as sleep deprived parents, we gave up on the idea,left the hotel the same night and headed home. Aware there is nothing the hotel can do to stop the noise, but perhaps if Hotels.com could notify non-locals when they book that there will be significant noise disturbance it would have been really helpful as we could have booked a different location.

Horrendous experience

Horrendous experience. So loud and hot that neither I nor my partner could sleep at all and felt suffocated. We considered leaving in the middle of the night but had nowhere else to stay. Never again.

Foxy Moxy!

Funky, modern vibe. Service great. The only thing that let it down was the building having scaffolding all the way around and the air conditioning couldn’t cope with the warm weather. I set the temperature at 18 and the ac only managed to cool it to 27.5! If I had been staying more than one night I would have asked to change room air get a fan. Other than that - great, as expected.

Hot Bristol

We like the Moxy and have stayed before. The reason for the poor rating this time was that the Air Conditioning had failed for our trip and the room was over 27C. We were offered a fan but that only circulates the already hot air.
