Pros: The historic cottage was safe, quiet, and conveniently located near the visitors station, so it was super convenient to check in for our cave tour. Cons: There is no close parking to your cottage though, so if you’re not a light packer it’s a bit of a haul to bring your suitcase in. The AC unit also didn’t really help in our cottage - it was super muggy the entire time. The bathroom needed some maintenance (the toilet rocked every time you sat on it). And the lawn chairs out front were cracked and broken.

I liked everything except you can’t shower when the people next door are showering. Water turns ice cold in middle of shower with hair full of soap. But everything else was great.

My stay was comfortable and clean. I stayed in one of the historic cabins. You cannot park your car close to the cabin, so you do have to walk with your things that you are bringing inside quite a distance. Not a problem for me, but just a heads up for people with mobility issues.

Cottage was easy to access and a short walk to the lodge, visitor centers, and trails. Cottage was nice and clean but lacked a table/chairs and needed towel racks near sink since shower and toilet were in a separate room. Cottage had heat/AC even thought the description said otherwise. Overall good value and place to stay.

The room we received was a nice clean and comfortable place with full services. The door was a slight challenge due to the handle was loose and unlocking was a problem after dinner. Neighbor next to us assisted and got the door open, still locked, so we used the bolt at night. otherwise it was a nice and affordable stay, close to the lodge.

Although it’s an older facility, it was a nice stay… quiet, close to the restaurant and visitor center and cave tours. Food at the restaurant was good and very reasonably priced for a national park facility.

We greatly enjoyed our stay in the family cabins. We just stopped in for the night on our way home to Ohio from Louisiana. The dining option was very nice that it was located right on the Property. Thank You for everything! Next time we will stay longer:)

Arrived at 1 AM and the heat did not work in the cabin. There was no one to call and it was about 40° in the cabin all night. Complained about it and nothing has come from that.

Reasonable for the Price, Superior Access to Park

Pretty reasonable accommodations, especially for the price. We were surprised that there was no TV in the room, and the room security left some to be desired (the window locks didn't work). Also you are in a cabin, so there may be a little nature in the room (we had some bugs, but nothing crazy - some ladybugs, a leaf bug, and a couple ants).

Charming and Comfortable Stay Inside the Park

My husband and I stayed one night at the lodge in Mammoth Cave, and it was a wonderful experience—especially since it was my first time staying overnight in a national park. The accommodations are rustic but very comfortable. Our cottage had a private bathroom, a table and chair, a small refrigerator, and coffee-making supplies (perfect for a quiet morning), though there was no microwave. The air conditioning worked well, which was great after a warm day of exploring. While breakfast isn't included, there's a restaurant on-site as well as a Starbucks, so food and coffee are easy to come by. The cottages are conveniently located close to the Visitor Center, making it easy to access tours and trails. One of the highlights was seeing deer in the parking lot when it was quiet—such a peaceful moment. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend it to anyone wanting to immerse themselves in the park experience without sacrificing comfort.

We stayed in the Historic cabins. Very cute and clean. Great location to hikes and close to visitors center. The only thing that was negative was that the door to the cabin needed better sealing. I put paper in the space where the light came through. Once that gets sealed better, I would give this a 10/10. Very convenient and fun to stay in the national park.

It was larger than expected . Nice the way it was set up with a toilet and shower in the middle . Both bedrooms had small wash sinks. There IS heat and air conditioning . We brought our own tv and dvd player which we put on the shelf in one bedroom . Only one room had a fridge, but that was fine. Only complaint is that we could have used a small card table .
