Peaceful, away from it all. Short walk to park office, restaurants, gift shop and entrance to the cave. Room was comfy with a microwave, refrigerator and a TV. Many National Park lodgings do not provide TV. Only complaint and reason for giving 4 stars was the shower. The shower had a hand-held shower head with no to clamp to hang it to provide a normal shower. In addition, the shower floor edge molding was non existent causing the spray to go all over the bathroom floor. The shower curtain did little to help the situation. The only floor drain was inside the shower and did not stop the flow into the bathroom area. Bad design for the shower, otherwise very pleasant accommodation.

Not sure where to begin...the only good thing about our stay is that we were located inside Mammoth Cave National Park. Our room was not located in "The Lodge" but in a motel type setting called "Sunset Terrace". Nowhere on our reservation was this indicated, and the pictures on the website are NOT accurate. Our room was very old and dated. It had a musty odor, and very limited, old furniture. There was not a single chair in the room, so we had to eat our breakfast standing up, or sitting on our beds. We ran out of hot water after 2 quick showers, and had to kill a very large spider that was crawing on the floor, that probably entered our room via the large gaps between the door and door frame. I would not recommend.
You get what you pay for really. It’s a cabin, spacious, but very old and doesn’t have a TV. The AC is extremely loud and the shower is so old that I was made for people shorter that 160 cm. Bring a flashlight as you will walk in the dark getting there.
It’s located in the park, and close to the caves. The restaurant is decent and affordable. So your choice is really about staying in Cave City and drive here, or vice versa.
Wonderful area! The cabins are older, but well maintained. If you don’t like insects, you might choose a different place to stay. Our room had stink bugs, wasp, ladybugs and flies.
The Lodge is in a beautiful area, close to the Visitor's Center where the cave tours start. The Sunset Terrace room was quiet and comfortable. Trails were just a few steps away. We stayed in early November, and the only downside was that dining options in the park closed at 5 PM that late in the season. We did find restaurants in Cave City, though. Overall, a fun, relaxing stay.
We rented an historic cabin for 2 nights. Wonderful stay and within walking distance of cave entrance, restaurants, gift shops. Everything was convenient and we didn't need to drive for 2 days. The cabin was very quaint, clean, and comfortable. No microwave or fridge, but a coffee maker. Some lighting was being installed along the walkways to the cabins and that will make it easier at night. We had a full moon view and ATLAS comet view. Great stay.
The Lodge location, very nearby the visitor center of Mammoth Cave National Park, is the primary appeal of this property. It is a “Lodge” as opposed to a motel/hotel so expectations should be managed accordingly. Everything was clean and in good order…
It was great! Our boys loved it. We got Mexican and ate in the room, we had lots of space, could easily walk to trails and the visitor center. I loved it! It felt like going away to camp.

That’s are historical cabins on Mammoth Cave National Park. Comfortable beds no TV which made the cabin perfect. Great stay. Deer were
There to greet us.
Beautiful and serene location. Cabin was very clean and well equipped. Only issue is I had some trouble figuring out the heating controls, so the room got cold at night. In hindsight I should have called the front desk and asked for help earlier. Still a memorable experience to stay in one of these cabins right inside the park.

We stayed in the cottages. It was a little rustic for us, but it brought back memories from when we were children visiting with our grandparents. What we didn't like was the wasp nest in the room, no hot water to shower, and the rooms got very cold during the night. One of the bright points for us was hearing the birds sing when the sun came up.
