The staff was wonderful. Very clean. Breakfast was fresh every day. Loved the location. Our first night was very uncomfortable. Bed too soft and room too small. They were very accommodating and moved us to another room for the rest of our stay.

Did not stay due to family illness. But booking 1week before trip did not allow for cancellation. Even if I cancelled one day after, I was out of luck.I personally checked out St Marys after because it is an hour away from home. Nothing to do there, no real restaurants mostly bars and fast food places.Many places out of business. Avoid this place. Fernandina much better area to go to.

The bed was so uncomfortable. The room was freezing. Went to ask for a blanket. No one answered at the front desk. Only got to stay for one night. Asked for a refund for the 2nd night. Was charged a larger amount for the 2nd night even though we left at 9: AM. Staff ( the kitchen staff and maid) said they would contact the owner or manager about us leaving and wanting a refund- and we never heard back from them.

I was just disappointed, I thought we had a claw tub in our room according to the internet and called to get some bath salts. I also called and asked about bathrobes. On the phone they were all helpful but the room had been recently upgraded and the claw tub was gone, no bath salts, no bathrobes. Wish the staff had just said we don’t do that so downgraded one star.

Hidden Gem

Our stay was an overnight stop on our way to Savannah. We were pleasantly surprised by the Spencer House Inn. Inn was situated in a charming little town and was everything that we were looking for. Would definitely return.
