The area was beautiful. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Customer service was great and I felt like we were highly accommodated the entire trip. I do feel that the hotel rooms were a bit in need of some improvements as far as upgrades and renovations. We had to have our toilet repaired, our AC was not quite up to par, and the carpet was kind of shabby. The elevators were small and dirty. The pool areas looked fantastic and the bar areas and staff were wonderful. The prices at The Cottages gift shop were insane, but the coffee was good. Overall, the experience was good and the common areas were good. I’d hope for more from the rooms and private areas.

Definitely an outdated property. Once glorious in its day, it has been neglected and in need of much work and tender care. The staff is uninformed, misleading, and non-present. Room was fine,but very little amenities in the room. Rest of my property, exteriors and elevators were filthy and not maintained. For instance, finding coffee in the morning is nearly impossible and a puzzle at best. Difficulty does not make a good stay.

The layout and the grounds are stunning. In past stays, we had a much better "Happy Hour" experience....small treats with our drinks...and more of a "happy hour" pricing. We went back to the gorgeous lobby to have a nightcap, but were surprised that there wasn't any live music. The lobby needs a piano, a singer, or something to spice up the ambience. Our bartender and server were awesome. Another pleasant feature was that our room was cleaned and ready for us when we returned from breakfast. I may be picky...but the entrance mat was dirty when we arrived and stayed that way. We did appreciate the concierge. She really went the extra mile to be of help!
