Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Property location was great can’t fault it, close to everything. The hotel is on the old side which adds to its character however it was quite warm and no air conditioning so the room was a little stuffy. The bed was really hard and not very comfortable. The hotel was clean. Apart from that they offered a continental breakfast and the staff were lovely. The owner was really nice came back one night to find him entertaining some guests dancing and balancing a tray with a teapot and cups on his head. Quite a character. Would recommend this hotel based on location and friendly owner.
A neat quirky hotel in the main part of town. Close to all the attractions and the owner was there to chat with us upon arrival. I focus on cleanliness and location and this hotel exceeded at both. Add to that the charm and you are all set. Would definitely stay here again.
Rude Receptionist, giving wrong information. (Sending Disabled Elderly People to the Third Floor, when the whole property is a maze of staircases and the room was in fact on the 1st Floor!) Drunken Men standing outside guest rooms shouting. DISMAL Breakfast with No Choice whatsoever!
The hotel is old and dirty and the staff/owner is rude. We told him we didn’t want to stay and he still charged two nights, not honouring the one night cancellation fee. Over all is was a terrible experience, but the worst is the dodgy business he has in the basement, which we accidentally saw :(
The hotel's location is ideal, just a 5-minute walk from the train station, situated in a prime tourist area filled with restaurants and shops. The lobby and overall decor are impressive, exuding a high-class atmosphere. However, the room experience was disappointing. The carpet was dirty and had long hairs from the previous guest. In the bathroom, the soap and shampoo dispensers were non-functional, the shower doors didn't close properly, and the shower head holder was partially broken, forcing you to hold the shower head while washing.
Perfect location to explore the city. Moroccan decor throughout. Room small but comfortable for a couple of days. Owner very friendly, played piano at breakfast. Continental breakfast is pretty much a break and a croissant, very good coffee tough. Plenty of bars and places to eat nearby. Close to Brussels Central station. Overall a very enjoyable stay
The tip of the iceberg was hearing someone trying to open the door several times at 1.30am i thought to be a drunken guest. This continued with force only to which i opened the door to the manager/owner who wanted to discuss a payment issue. Had no remorse or understanding that it was completely inappropriate to enter without permission and refused to wait until the morning to discuss what had gone wrong. Luckily i had locked the door and kept the key in the lock.
Room flooded floor soaked bed soaked…no choice to move as hotel was full. No towel rack. Soap in shower did not dispense. Very old and somewhat shabby property. Dim lighting. Water stains on wall. Overall not good.
The room was completely different from the description on the website, very small and unsanitary.
No toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, mineral water, etc. provided, no refrigerator either.
My recent stay at Hotel Mozart was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I entered my room, I noticed the place was not up to standard, but things quickly escalated from bad to worse.
On the first night, we woke up itching and discovered bed bugs crawling on the bed. This revolting discovery resulted in a rash that covered my daughter’s body and made my first night stay extremely uncomfortable.
When I approached the hotel management to address the issue, I was met with extreme rudeness and indifference. They showed no concern for my family’s wellbeing or the severe problem at hand. Instead of offering assistance or an apology, they dismissed my complaint and refused to take any responsibility. We had to move to a different hotel in the middle of the night.
I would strongly advise anyone considering a stay at Hotel Mozart to think twice. The combination of unsanitary conditions and unprofessional staff makes this hotel a place to avoid at all costs. Save yourself the trouble and find somewhere else to stay.
I thought I booked a 3-star hotel. Hotel Mozart is almost a 1-star. No AC, no heater. Door knobs loose. Ultra-small shower and bathroom. Our "triple room" was really a ridiculously small one-bedroom that they jammed 2 more beds into. Beds were average. Exposed hot water pipe in shower which could burn your skin. Glass shelf above sink hits your head when you need to spit. Continental breakfast was lame, coffee, OJ, bread. No fruit. Staff would also sit in dining room and disturb everyone with their constant chatter. Housekeeping came in while guest was in bathroom--and just kept cleaning! OMG!
The one best thing about Hotel Mozart was it is centrally located to everything. Price was okay for the location, but not for amenities. Also, owner is super friendly. Next time, we'll book a 4-star hotel down the street.
This stay was my worst experience in a hotel and I've been to many countries. The location was good but it was not clean at all and very noisy at night.
I got bitten by so many bed bugs during all night that now my whole body is covered in bites.
There are many much better places to stay in Brussels, please read carefully all the bad reviews and run away from this place!
Above all DO NOT BOOK IN THIS HOTEL!!!!!
