The hotel is good. There are homeless people around. Would not walk at night. They don't have washing machines, so the cleaning service is almost 2 euro por each pair of socks. Good thing is that the Metro is really close.

The area around the hotel is terrible.
The area around the hotel is terrible, The outside is full of dodgy characters and undesirable people.. a good place to get robbed and harassed. I have been to many places in the world, but we did not feel safe in the area around the hotel.. The hotel is average, quite bland, does the job if you just need a quick place to sleep with no frills.

This property is just down the street from the Brussels-Midi station (South Train Station). I walked into town at least twice and it wasn't too far- 20 minutes or so. There are things to see along the way. I found this hotel the most convenient for me because I also traveled to Brugge, Ghent and Ypres. The close proximity to the train station allowed for easy travel to other areas of the country, as well as easy access to and from the airport. The room was clean and a generous size for Europe. There was a small fridge (although it kept my drinks slightly lower than room temperature- why doesn't Europe like cold drinks?), a hair dryer, and the usual soap/shampoo amenities. Even though the room was literally across the street from the train station, the room was exceptionally quiet. I didn't pay for breakfast at the hotel, but that was an option. Don't plan on having any dairy or meat products in the room mini fridge because it won't be cold enough to keep them at a safe temperature, even when the fridge is turned to the coldest setting. I would stay here again. The staff was always friendly and courteous. There are places to eat close by and there are stores near as well, including a multitude of various stores/shops/quick restaurants in the train station.

For two days during our stay we walked from the hotel to the city and encounter people trying to entertain us but clearly looking for something else, second time we confronted the guy and he went away. After that we only use Uber to and from the hotel. In our opinion, The hotel team should recommend their guests to use any transportation to the city and vice-versa.

Even though the property is not in a nice area, it is very close to the train station. Takes about 20mins to walk to the town centre. The hotel itself is clean and the room spacious but didnt like the shower over the bath and the shower was not powerful. Upside it is always good to have a fridge in the room. Would definitely pick this hotel again though.
