Comfortable stay with good service

We had a miscommunication about how to get the key after hours at first but everything else was great. Accommodations weren't lavish but had everything I needed including closet space, comfy bed, included breakfast with wonderful coffee. Good location near Fisherman's Bastion and Buda Castle. My room was on the castle side but if you request a room on the 3rd floor or higher on the Danube side, I hear the view is phenomenal.

Nice Quiet Bed and Breakfast

I stayed 2 weeks in April which included Easter Sunday. The BnB is right below Budda Castle and it's only a 1oo meter walk to Fisherman's Bastion. It's a very quiet neighborhood at night. Of course, lots of tourists during the day but it's still a quiet area. The room was very nice and clean with excellent service from a very friendly staff. Victor was always helpful when needed though he's only at the place a few hours every morning. But he's easily accessible by text/phone.

Great location and host

A fantastic B&B in a great location in Buda. Minutes from Fisherman’s Bastion and other attractions. Viktor the host was sensational and assisted us with any questions or queries we may have had. Continental breakfast was a great way to start the day for a days exploring.

Viktor was the perfect host. Viktor was very welcoming and extremely helpful and accommodating to all our needs. The property is situated just a street away from historical sites and a township high on the citadel of Buda overlooking the Danube River with a perfect view of the Houses of Parliament. There is a supermarket and wonderful restaurants and cafes serving delicious authentic cuisine only a walk away down the hill following a pathway of terraces lined with traditional apartments. Victor will provide you with a fresh continental breakfast each morning while his staff maintain a very clean, cozy and comfortable room.

Not fancy but comfortable with a great location

The location of this property is great; right at the foot of the Castle area. Great view of the river front and Parliament. There are few eating places in the area without climbing the steps to the Castle area. The bed was a little hard for our taste. We got there after dark and check-in did not happen until the next day. The information that they provided made entry into the hotel and access to our room very easy. Please realize that this hotel is a very old building and thus does not contain an elevator which can make carrying suitcases up three or four floors up a winding staircase difficult, especially if you are older like we are. If you check-in or out when the manager is there he will assist with your bags. The owner is very friendly and helpful.. One side note, when visiting Budapest download the Bolt app. It makes it very easy when getting a taxi which often arrives with a couple of minutes. Taxis are pretty reasonable and operate much like Uber.

This property is so close to Fisherman’s Bastion and you can even see the top of the building in the terrace of my room. You can enjoy the panorama view of Budapest whenever you want after a few minutes walk. The innkeeper Viktor is also very nice and helpful to book a taxi for us at 3am. Only down side is the towels a little hard. Add softeners to wash may be helpful. Overall it’s a good choice to stay.

If you want to stay in the Buda castle area this is a great location. I would stay here again when I come to Budapest.

Viktor was an excellent host and communicator. Location is superb for the Buda side with excellent value. Walking to the Metro required walking 3 blocks up steps that if not in shape would be difficult.

Great stay at this hotel!

Victor, the hotel manager gave us a comfortable stay by providing good service and humble behaviour. The hotel was clean with large rooms, calm, great location being just 2 mins away from the fisherman bastion, and overall promised for an excellent halt. I generally do not take time to write reviews but i do recommend this hotel highly and thanks to the hotel for making our journey so pleasant.

Wonderful staff, good location

This B&B located at a nice, quiet, safe neighborhood with just afew minutes walk to Fisherman's Bastion. It is also a short walk from Chain Bridge, bus stop, tram stop, grocery store and subway station.

Wonderful gem w a fantastic view of city!

Stayed my last 2 nights in Budapest at this wonderful B& B on the Buda side. So glad I came to this place! It's worth it to book the deluxe room w the view- I couldn't stop staring at the amazing Parliament House of Budapest which you get a fabulous view of from that room and the balcony. Also the breakfast balcony has a view of it as well. The owner is friendly and helpful. The stay is quiet and comfortable with a perfect breakfast and not too many other guests. This neighborhood is quiet and conveniently located to some of the turkish baths and Fishermen's Bastion. You can easily walk to good restaurants and the water front or chain bridge. Will definitely come back to Budavar again and recommend it to all my friends traveling to Budapest!

Clean hotel with great location.

One of the best parts of this hotel was the location. Within the castle district we had a view of the church right outside our window. Just down the hill was a bunch of amazing local bars and resteraunts. The best part of this hotel was the innkeeper viktor. He made sure we had everything we needed and answered any questions we had from money to parking to the best sights to see. Having him welcome us to budapest for the first time was the highlight.

Viktor, the propietor ,, is a very gracious host. He is enthusiastic for his guests, offering tips ànd directions. Breakfast is continental style and very adequate. A very pleasant stay for us.
