Phenomenal Location and View!

Location and view were astounding! I could not be happier with my entire experience at this hotel. I chose the Chain Bridge View: Legendary Lions upgrade and I was shocked when I opened the curtains to the view for my partner. Easy central location for exploring/site seeing and superb staff. One night in Budapest done right!

Good location

Hotel Clark enjoys an excellent location within walking distance of the Chain Bridge and Buda Castle, making it convenient for sightseeing. The staff at reception were consistently friendly and helpful. However, the room was quite small — even for a solo traveller — with limited space for luggage and poorly designed furnishings that made the space feel cramped. The bathroom was smelly. The view of the room overlooked a dull courtyard, which didn’t help the atmosphere. While the hotel lacks a pool, it does offer a dry sauna. The rooftop Café boasts a lovely view, but the staff were unwelcoming and the food disappointing in both taste and was expensive.

Excellent service. Clean Rooms. Great bistros lobby and roof. Front desk very responsive to any need. Location at foot of chain bridge, and buda castle Excellent. Very accessible by many Uber and Bolt cabs. We never waited more than a couple of minutes. Easy check in , Check out.

The hotel was great my only moan was the wash basin was not in a bathroom and was a sink in the room on its own so had to wait for my partner to get up before having a wash would be better more private and closed in

The Leo, the hotels roof top bar is stunning. Great open air balconies with sweeping views down the Danube river, parliament building etc as well as behind the hotel where you will see Fisherman’s Bastian, royal palace etc. Service is friendly (by Hungarian standards, as not known for their service) and professional. Hotel Building is stunning, very luxurious, modern and decadent . With a cosmopolitan vibe. The rooms are compact but well appointed and highlight would be the walk-in rain shower, excellent large comfortable bed and espresso maker (with proper glass walled cups etc) Negatives would be the size of a standard room, the opening of the shower/wc doors is essentially into the bedroom area. It’s a unique setup and not seen in other 5* hotels I have stayed in before.

Clark Hotel was very pleasant. In my view the best thing about it was the location which is excellent. Clean and comfortable. Staff very pleasant and accommodating. I don’t drink alcohol so we didn’t use the bar and we also didn’t try breakfast so I can’t comment on bar and bistro. The dark decor did take a bit of getting use to but it was very stylish. Soundproofing was top class. Didn’t hear a sound from other guests when in our room. Complimentary wine and water a nice touch but sorry the chocolates were awful. My one gripe there is only a coffee machine, no kettle. You cannot make tea in a coffee machine and there wasn’t any tea in the room. Not good for the British travellers. I would stay here again though. It was competitively priced for the quality.

Next to the bridge and facilities look new

You could see the chain bridge Széchenyi Lánchíd out of the window which was great. Facilities look new. Stayed at the top floor studio. Floor under bath tub could get wet but no draining on floor. Need a few towels to dry the floor. Handkerchiefs were taken away without replacement. Tea and coffee were not refilled after 1night. The big lamp next to bed was a bit annoying as it took up bedside space and I got hit a few times when getting up. Breakfast had not much choice and food was OK but we expected more from a 5 star hotel. Had to compliment the waiter Viktor here as he had a great smile when serving the breakfast and showed hospitality. Overall, recommended but still have room for improvements.
