We enjoyed our stay here. The staff communicated very clearly and were very kind. The small cottage was very clean and cozy with a lovely view. We would definitely stay here again.

The lodge is on a gorgeous property in the valley before the Snaefellsnes peninsula. The owner was so kind and accommodating after our flight was significantly delayed. The breakfast was hearty, good variety and delicious. It’s a perfect spot to explore the peninsula. You need to plan a little ahead for food items (snacks and lunch only as breakfast and dinner are available). Highly recommend!

Out of 13 places weve stayed in around Iceland his is the only one that got everything right. The host and owner was extremely welcoming and friendly in an authentic way. The room was lovely comfortable and had many thoughtful touches (wine opener, real wine glasses, a fridge, menstrual products in the bathroom). Great dinner and service. Fantastic view from the room. I would enthusiastically stay here again, which I can't say about any the other accommodations here, and some of them were wildly expensive.

This was our favorite accommodations on our 10 day trip to Iceland. The property was clean and comfortable and the breakfast delicious. The view from the back door of our cabin was gorgeous.

Best Place to Stay in Iceland!
The room was incredibly cozy and well stocked with many amenities. The space was clean and modern with many upgrades. The breakfast was a good spread and the host was lovely and very helpful. She provided a lot of good information on the local area and helpful tips. This was by far the best place we stayed during our trip to Iceland, I wish we could have stayed there the whole time!

Wow, what an experience! This property is definitely worth going a little out of the way. The cabin was gorgeous and had everything we needed. Dinner was excellent and I enjoyed the cozy local vibes. Spent the evening reading in a complementary robe in a comfortable armchair and watching the rain pass over the mountains. Hope to stay here again!

Friendly and professional check-in. They have very good knowledge of what to do in the area. Great and cozy room with great toilet and shower. Plenty of nice hot water. The beds were just right for my back. Two pillows, one harder and one softer. Amazing views from the patio. The breakfast was very good. Not a ton of options like y you get at some larger hotels but each item was selected for quality. The smoked reindeer was the best. Quick and friendly check out.

We stayed in an attached unit with one small room. It was nice but smal! With the addition of a handle for the bathroom door, and a shelf unit and towel hooks in the bathroom it would make the unit more comfortable. Secluded and quiet area and there is a little deck off the unit. Lovely breakfast included and we also had a delicious dinner here. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely a highlight of our honeymoon in Iceland. Incredible views, very comfortable lodging, and the hospitality was first-rate. Our host cooked us a meal that rated as one of the best of our entire trip! Would highly recommend to any travellers.

This property was a nice surprise and off the beaten path. It had a gorgeous surrounding and was very quiet with nice places to walk and explore. The service was impeccable and very helpful. They provided breakfast and all the advice you could ask for about the surrounding areas. The rooms were clean and modernized and very quaint. I would absolutely stay there again if I was in the area.

Unique property! We stayed here for one night when going around Iceland. The place was amazing and very clean. Breakfast was just what we needed to get the day going. Only cons I would say are location (a little out of the way and some roads were gravel) and heating (fairly small space heater, just takes time to warm up the place). Probably our favorite stay during our Iceland trip!

The host was very communicative and gave us local recommendations. Her kitchen was closed but she still made us a pizza as we hadn’t eaten in awhile. She also allowed us to sit in her kitchen 30 minutes early for breakfast and eat about 10 minutes early too. We got our own tiny home to rest in for the two days we stayed. Breakfast at included but dinner cost extra. We will say, the second morning we didn’t eat breakfast there as it was closed for the first opening hour we waited. Check out was easy thankfully, host didn’t open so we honestly hoped she/family were okay as it was different than the hospitality we received the first night/day after. In any case, the entire stay was wonderful and we would choose to come back should we return to Iceland. Her service and nice hotel really stood out as opposed to guest houses or to severely overpriced hotels in the same area. Thank you for having us!

Gudrun is an amazing host. Deluxe meals. Good conversations. The roads are difficult. Next time we will have a 4 wheel drive.
