well located; outdated but not a boring hotel room
Staff were friendly. Pool was excellent. Internet was so-so at best. Office open on inconvenient hours only. Location is excellent. Clean and spacious.

Going downhill...
I have stayed at this location many times over the years. It has also changed ownership many times over these years. It has never been fancy but always fit my needs. This stay was quite poor. Lights with failed bulbs, ceiling light fixtures falling apart, dirty kitchen table (hardened "goo" on the table), dirty floor, shower with very low water pressure. Received a letter that informed cleaning would be a day delayed - it never happened at all.

Luxury apartment in BA
We were so thrilled to be staying in an apartment! The kitchen was great, could do with a few more condiments and plates. Salt and sugar maybe could be provided. The beds were so comfortable and the room stayed extremely dark which was great for sleeping! Wifi was excellent.

Relatively quiet location and spacious rooms
I have stayed at this location on many occasions over the past 4 or 5 years. Mostly for three reasons: 1) It's proximity to the main transit station Retiro (train station) - it's a short walk to this station. 2) Depending upon the room location, it is mostly quiet, as compared to other locations in Barrios Centro and Micro Centro. At many other locations, traffic/street noise will "invade" the room... 3) Dedicated Wi-Fi in each room (essential for me, for my work). No shared Wi-Fi like in a hotel... This is not a regular hotel, per say - it is what I call an "Aparthotel". There is no room service, no on premise restaurant or business services, and room cleaning is only once a week. If one takes a room at this location, one has to be prepared to go to the neighborhood grocery and/or Kiosks to obtain water/soda, coffee (to make in the room), snacks, etc. There is a kitchen to make food too - but I personally use restaurants. No laundry service, per say but there are washer and dryers available in the building - one needs to purchase tokens, from the Portero, to use these machines. Rooms are cleaned once a week, not daily like a regular hotel. Staff consists of one person in an office on the top floor, which is open in the mornings. If one has extremely limited Spanish language skills (or none), and/or no real experience in Buenos Aires then I would recommend staying at a regular hotel. Otherwise this is a very good place with good rates.

Fooled me once... But not twice!!
The security guard was extremely rude the WHOLE 5 days we were there!! The room had poor internet connection and. There was no safety deposit as it says in Expedia!! The room had the air conditioning unit was leaking a rainfall!! When we told the administration about it they did not want to move us to another room to accommodate our needs!! I was very upset!! After they saw my face they moved us!!

Eh, it's ok. An apartment NOT hotel
This was an ok place to stay. It's not a hotel but a short-term apartment rental. There is not service staff besides for a guard at the door. Having privacy was nice but also isolating.

Affordable and in a great location
The hotel is well maintained and the location is perfect for exploring B.A. The pool is a lap pool that's approximately 3 feet deep uniformly. I went for a swim anyway but you can't dive into it. The staff are friendly and helpful and there's a security guy on the door 24/7.

Alberto the bellman was outstanding and very helpful. There was a little mold around the tub and the flooring was coming loose by the sink. Other than that it was a delightful stay.

Great location - Poor service. Very poor service!
I travel a fair amount for business and I am used to staying at "apartment" style hotels where you lack some of the amenities of regular hotels. However, this one lacks service as the "hotel's" staff is only present from 9am to 6pm. After that, you are on your own. The negative: When I arrived, the gate keeper at the apartment building, which is what it's place really is, was less than helpful and barely pointed me to the 11 floor to "ask for the hotel staff". When I got to the 11th floor there are no signs of any kind to guide you. After walking all over, I found the office but it was closed and nobody was there. The gentleman who happen to walk by (not affiliated with the hotel) told me that the hotel guy would be back soon. After about 15 minutes, I was finally able to check in. The rooms don't have an iron and ironing board (not a deal breaker). I asked for one, I got it, I used it and kept it hopping to use it the next day. The following day when I arrived back to the hotel (after 6pm), the iron and iron board were gone... Leaving me with a wrinkly shirt for the next day as there was no one who could assist me. They only do room cleaning every fourth day. If you want fresh towels, you need to ask. Gotta do it between 9 to 6, thought. They don't used fitted sheets. Who doesn't use fitted sheets nowadays! Specially when they don't come to make your bed but every 4th day! Cannot use the phone unless you have a pre-paid calling card. The positive: It is well located. Short walk to "puerto madero" and "recoletta" areas. Well equipped kitchen (for a hotel) and there is a good grocery store around th block. Bottom line: would not recommend it / would not stay there again. -

Wouldn't stay here again
The 2 most important qualities in a hotel for me are a good quality bed, and a quiet room. This apart hotel failed on both counts--really bad beds, and very cheap linens. Also, the noise coming from the poorly sound-proofed door from the hallway let in a lot of noise into the room. Some of the surrounding "rooms" are actually offices, so relatively early in the morning there was lots of activity and hallway conversations that disturbed me.

Spacious Hotel Accommodation Like an Apartment
Our accommodation was comfortable and spacious - about 500 to 600 square feet. We had good customer service from the front desk that helped us with planning our week in Buenos Aires with places to visit and restaurant recommendations. The hotel desk was also able to help us set up pick up and drop off transport to either the AEP (domestic) or EZE (international) airports. The hotel was located near San Martin Plaza and a few blocks away from the metro line. It is a 10-minute walk to Avenida Florida, which is one of the major shopping areas. The supermarket is a few blocks away. The only thing we need to mention is that although the hotel advertises that there is a kitchenette in the accommodation, the unit is not set up to do any serious cooking. Although there is a microwave, mini-refrigerator, and a two-burner cooktop, there is only one pot with a lid, so you cannot do much cooking.

It's not a hotel
This is not a hotel, it is furnished apartments. management is gone on the weekends, if you have any issues you have to deal with the security guard downstairs who doesn't speak English, which was not a problem for us since we speak Spanish, but in case you are not Spanish speaking, you would be in trouble.

A good hotel that is not a hotel
Dazzler Flats Quartier Basavilbaso is conveniently located in Retiro next to San Martin park. It was a good base to explore Buenos Aires. It's a short walk to Puerto Madras. There's a supermarket right around the corner. It's conveniently located near the train and subway and bus terminals making it easy to get to other neighborhoods. There are good restaurants within walking distance. Dazzler Flats offers an outdoor and indoor pool, gym, and laundry room. The security and staff were very friendly and helpful, and spoke English (quite helpful to the beginner Spanish student). They even helped book a Tango show for me. I thoroughly enjoyed staying here. People considering booking here need to know that it isn't your typical hotel. There isn't too much of a view, no room service or restaurant, and you'll have to bring your own soap and shampoo. Towels are provided. It is more like renting a room.

very comfortable and affordable
these apartments are very modern and comfortable and much more spacious the most hotel rooms. The bedding was comfortable and very high quality. The LCD TV was nice and had a lot of cable channels and several in english. The indoor pool was not working the week I was there, but the jacuzzi was good. There is 24 hour security in the lobby which is good, but this is more of a high end apartment and only the security guards after 6pm and they only speak a little english. The manager however was very helpful and spoke perfect english and is available during the day. The neighborhood is very nice during the day and close to plaza san martin and a subway stop and also walking distance to florida street. At night, there are not many people around and a few bums sleeping on the street around the corner on avenida de Libertador. The location is a short cab ride to puerto madero o recoleta where there is more nightlife.
