The property was clean and updated in the room. The Motel 6 next door had people coming across the parking lot trying to get into vehicles at the Best Western. The hallways were very beat up and not in good condition.

Do not use the pool

The hotel itself and the room were fine. The serious issue we had was the swimming pool. When we tried to use the pool, the steps and the bottom surface of the pool were so slick that I fell just stepping on the top step. I grabbed the hand rail, which was not secure and swung away from me. I landed on another step and finally tried to stand on the pool floor and it was also very slick. I still have a giant black and blue spot from hitting. I told two different from desk staff about the accident and issue. The first just shrugged it off and said he would let the GM know, showing no real concern at all. The second person showed a bit more concern, but I doubt anything was going to be done. It was very concerning they showed such a lack of concern that a guest could have been seriously injured.
