The hotel is “old school” with details that my husband and I appreciate. For example, porcelain coffee cups and saucers in the room as opposed to styrofoam. Same at breakfast where real scrambled eggs are served. The staff is super attentive and friendly. The decor is over-the-top with memorabilia galore of Russell’s community service, and the hotel bar is 1950s Las Vegas with Sinatra often crooning in the background. Russell himself ends his evenings there as well. And he’ll be clearing breakfast dishes in the morning. A one-of-a-kind place.

Really enjoyed the opportunity to meet Mr. Salvatore. Strong recommendation: Replace unreadable plaque on Battle of the Bulge Memorial. The plaque has been damaged over the years thus now degrades that portion of the entire Patriots site.

I really enjoyed our stay; the front desk staff was efficient, attentive, and polite; however, three suggestions that I would make: a) the carpet in our room was dingy and felt dirty. Some updates are needed. b) I found some used tissue behind the curtain, which grossed me out. c) better labeling on the shampoo/conditioner/body wash. While I struggled and eventually figured it out, the friends we traveled with washed their bodies with the shampoo and their hair with the body wash. The breakfast buffet would be a 6/10, but I don’t deduct stars for that. The memorabilia in the hotel is unique and fun to read. The Memorial Park on site is also very patriotic and appreciated.

The top most importance of a hotel is noise. The air conditioning in my room was obnoxiously loud. When it turned on randomly it was like a bomb going off and did not cool the room. The key in the slot did not help. The person shoving the bill underneath my door at 3 in the morning pushed so hard they knocked their hand loudly against the door, I know because it woke me up. The toilet wouldn’t flush half the time and the water pressure was less than stellar. The restaurant was great and everyone is very hospitable but the rooms are sub par
