Listen, this property was fine. I’m giving it a lower score than usual because frankly it’s not work the over $320 rate they charged. Now, I get it… Butte isn’t a huge market, and as a gateway to some amazing national parks, staying here in the summer is going to come with a higher rate, but… This property, its condition, and the amenities aren’t worth that type of price… Period. Over $300 a night for a Holiday Inn Express, with carpet coming up in the room, an air conditioner that sounded like an idling train, tack boards for the carpet protruding around the edges, and things like not starting breakfast until 6:30am instead of 6:00 on weekdays is just not worth it. It was clean enough, the staff was pleasant enough, etc. but if you can find a better deal close by take it because it’s kind of crazy that a room here cost over $300 a night when you can stay at a Westin or Grand Hyatt I’m most major markets for less.

Well maintained. Room was dated but bathroom updated. My only complaint was cost to extend our stay they wanted an extra $150 the room was already $250 the hotel and room weren’t a $250 a night accommodation.

Cons: - No pets accepted - Pillows noticeably lumpy from overuse and long overdue for replacement - Hallway carpets have become loose and rolled, a tripping hazard - Room doors slam closed even when careful (light sleepers should be sure to pack ear plugs) - No ventilation in bathroom (causing high humidity and dampness) Pros: - Good breakfast with variety (warm cinnamon rolls, waffle machine, cheese omelets, egg white/veggie omelets, turkey and pork sausages or bacon, breakfast potatoes, crockpot oatmeal, muffins, bagels, breads/toasts, yogurts, milk) - Gluten free muffins (UDIs, 3 flavors) - Very friendly staff and housekeeping - Sink/vanity inside bathroom, not in main bedroom - Clean pool and hot tub - Well kept landscaping - Overall great cleanliness IMHO, hotel is overpriced, but unfortunately on par with prices across the state due to surge in travel and tourism. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but typically do not even consider hotels unsupportive of pets (which are very much family, despite the few bad apples that always seem to ruin opportunities for the majority).

This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a hotel. There was an issue with checking us in and the front desk upgraded my room and then called me @ Midnight (we were completely asleep) and then told me we had to change rooms and made us get all of our stuff and move rooms. I asked to speak with her manager that told her we had to move and she told me he was at home and couldn’t talk. Weirdest experience I’ve ever had at a hotel.

All staff were congenial and knowledgeable but we must give grateful acknowledgement to the wonderful woman who staffed the night desk on Friday, June 5. My husband had fallen and I could not get him up. She came immediately and was able to lift him into a chair. She did this with care and kindness. People like this make us want to stay here again.

My room had a very stale smell. 2 of my pillows smelled like dirty stinky hair to the point I had to remove them from the bed they smelled so foul. Makes me assume pillow cases not changed between guests. The towels once wet had a smell so that I didn’t want to dry off my clean body with them. And to top it all off…the toilet had marks in the bottom from a previous guest’s bowel movement when I checked in. So gross!! I have stayed at this location multiple times & have never seen it as dirty as it was this time. And for over $200 a night. It’s ridiculous to have such poor cleanliness. Front desk staff very friendly when checking in & out.
