Good but not awesome

The pousada is nice but not as you see in the pictures. Our room was at the top and there is a long way up, with low light at night The breakfast was ok, nothing special. It’s one block and a half to the beach, they change the pool towels only every 2 days. The curtains doesn’t cover completely so you get light early. The bed mattress for the small bed had a bump very uncomfortable, and the bed sheets low quality. Front desk people were kind and helpful

The property was good and a good location with a beautiful view of the ocean. Staff was friendly. It’s a VIP hotel but I didn’t receive any of the perks that were offered which was a big disappointment because I booked this hotel specifically for the perks.

I shouldn’t have been disappointed because I knew what I was booking. I should have booked elsewhere. I guess I just hoped it might have been better. This is not a luxury hotel - and I knew that when I booked. But I’d hoped it might have been a special place to stay. One of those smaller places with style and charm. That’s what I’d been hoping for - especially given the price and many of the reviews. But I’m afraid the reality is it’s a slightly run down basic 3 star pousada. It does have nice views from its position on the hill overlooking Praia João Fernandes. It aspires to be stylish and ‘chic’, but sadly they skimped on the quality of materials and fittings - and on space. As a result it all feels slightly cramped and claustrophobic. It is ‘boutique’ in the sense that everything is tiny: tiny pool(s), tiny bed, tiny room (and I did make sure to book one of the bigger ones - the smaller ones must literally be cupboards). And because it was built rather shoddily, it is already beginning to succumb to wear and tear and to look tired. Other issues: the aircon was unbelievably noisy, the bed was small, basic and not comfortable - I did not sleep well here. And when you’re looking forward to a few days’ rest and relaxation it’s things like those (bed, peace and quiet, comfort etc) which are just so important. You don’t need to be a luxury hotel to get those things right. Another annoyance is that the internet didn’t work in the room - though,

The staff was extraordinary! Always asking if we needed anything or if we were content. The actual Pousada was incredible. One of the best I have ever stayed at. Stunning views, great food, only downside is no alcohol but the staff got some delivered to us which was great! We stayed in an ocean view room and it was definately worth every penny!! I will for sure be coming back here I loved every minute of my stay!! Also super super close to the beach.

A estadia foi bem tranquila, o quarto era arrumado rapidamente, assim que saíamos para o café da manhã e quando retornávamos já estava tudo arrumado. A pousada é bem grande e com 3 piscinas sendo 2 delas aquecidas o que é maravilhosos. Além disso, uma das piscinas fica de frente para o bistrô da própria pousada que tem opções excelentes para você almoçar, jantar ou petiscar. Além dos drinks… Muito boa, recomendo!

Très bon séjour ! Vue magique de la chambre magique! 3 Piscines dont deux chauffées très agréables Petit déjeuner très correct et inclus. Très belle plage en bas de la rue. Centre ville à 30minutes à pieds. Je recommande!

Pousada incrível! Quarto muito espaçoso, com uma vista maravilhosa da Praia de João Fernandes. Café da manhã completo, com opções feitas na hora, muito saboroso e variado. Localização excelente, poucos passos da praia, mas um pouco longe do centro. Os funcionários foram atenciosos e receptivos. A desvantagem foi não ter garagem e pagar rotativo durante todos os dias para deixar o carro na rua.

La posada es muy linda y el personal muy amable. El desayuno es bueno y la playa está a solo unos metros. A tener en cuenta que está ubicado en una zona con pocos servicios, pero el centro queda a 20 minutos caminando. Mi habitación en particular, tenía bastante humedad, pero el resto todo OK.

Lugar muito bom, bonito, atendimento dos funcionários impecáveis. Unicos pontos negativos são a falta de um estacionamento, visto que na rua paga para deixar o carro, e as escadas que seriam um impecilho em questões de acessibilidade
