Great budget style accommodation. Fabulous location, 5 minutes walk to all the main dining, bars and beach. Would have been helpful to have flyscreens on the windows so we could keep the windows open to let fresh air in, or maybe a ceiling fan to circulate the air. Shower could do with an ungrade and bathroom was a bit small. Beds were super comfy.

Motel doesn't look like much from the outside. However the inside of the rooms appears to have been refurbished and is quite decent. Check in staff friendly. Location is excellent being near the beach, bars and cafes.

Could be very noisy at night due to drunks outside, but probably bad luck. Absolutely great staff at reception, good place, close to everything. I had my best time in Byron

The parking is tight, the bed is like the old grey sway back mare, and ants on the kitchenette counter. Inconvenience of checking in at the Waves with no parking lot for check in. Do not be fooled by the picture - curtains falling off runner track and a pathetic pull down window shade.

From the outside this motel looks quite old but we were pleasantly surprised once inside. Room has been nicely renovated, very comfortable with lounge area & kitchenette. Walking distance to the beach and the heart of Byron Bay.
