I am a former owner/member of Pueblo Bonito and I believe the maintenance has fallen down somewhat. However one thing that has not changed is the quality of service by the employees. On this trip, my check-in agent, Nallely, went above and beyond to ensure all of my family members were in the same building.

This was a beautiful property and different viewpoints including the sky pool were stunning, however the rooms were rather run down and outdated spaces. We had five super executive rooms w jacuzzi within our group, all of which could only get so clean and were kind of an eyesore compared to the rest of the grounds, even though they were considered one of the nicer, larger rooms. The halls for the rooms were also somewhat dingy with open storage room doors and random items left out for example an old mattress. The staff were kind and hard working and there were many options for food. While service was often slow due to how busy it was, this allowed our group to take more time enjoying each other's company. As far as the flavors, there were a few items that were highlights for food but otherwise it was all below average. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the trip with our friends and family, and made some memories.

The resort is a short drive to town. The food options were the best I have experienced with an all inclusive hotel. We did not receive our VIP resort credit. Sky pool was not our favorite pool but the other pools had great service. The hotel was accommodating.

Difficulty getting around. They only take you half way to your room. You have to walk the rest. And it's soooo hot! You also need to walk out from your villa to meet the golf carts. Very annoying. Everyone loves the market but it is nothing but a nice food court. Dining in most restaurants with the all inclusive plan. There are up charges to dine there and more up charges for many items 😩 you'll pay $50.00 per person to dine there at all. Then you'll pay more again for upscale foods and liquors Many light fixtures. Lamps bedside did not work at all in our suite. Very annoying trying to get them turned on but it looks like they just don't work. AC is very sketchy. One room it would work pretty good. The other room in our suite was soo hot The beach and pool area at Rose is a must see. I could chill there for the whole day. Water sports and all available right in front of you. Booking with the hotels is much more expensive. You don't have too. Also you can walk around the downtown area. Is very nice to get a new perspective off of the resort. I had asked for an upgrade. But did not get it. My son's friend is African-American that came with us to celebrate my son's birthday and I'm sorry to have to say that they are racist. It was proven time and time. 🙁. I don't think I would do this again. I wanted to meet with the manager before we left but rushed to get to the airport. It didn't happen. There were many things I needed to discuss.

I did not like that they did not give good quality food to room service, I also was not happy that I could not order my food and take my left overs to go. It was inconvenient that every time we got a drink or food they always asked for randoms names of each room because we were not all together the whole trip. The music that was played in the only club was very inclusive to only the white guests and the dj did not want to cater to any other party’s.
The best swim up bar was at the top, they served great pool side food. Another favorite swim up pool was located below the buffet restaurant.
We enjoyed the sushi restaurant, we dined 3 times.

The property is lovely and has views of the ocean with lovely landscaping and greenery around the property. Lots of dining options and pools, but it is so spread out that you either have to walk up and down large hills, or wait for the shuttles. It is awesome that they provide these, but are often not timely or organized leaving you waiting in long lines. We encountered an issue with our water, A/C, toilets, and smell in our room in the middle of our first night. We were met with professionalism and moved to a functional room which was great and highly appreciated. That room ended up having the same issues on our last night, however, and when it was mentioned to staff upon check-out, they were neither kind about it nor helpful when I said that we couldn't shower or brush our teeth before our long flight home. I had hoped for a kind response as we received the first time, and the fact that it happened twice in two different parts of the resort was a bummer. Overall, I do recommend this location, things happen at large resorts and not every employee can be as great as the last, just wish we had been treated more kindly upon departure with our issues, especially since I am understanding of things happening and am not a mean or aggressive person. Side note, we have stayed with PB multiple times and always eaten at Quivira Steakhouse, but were highly disappointed this time around with the food prep and service.
