Thank you soooooo much for making this our home away from home!!!!! We were only a 30 minute walk to all sorts of excursions!!!!!!! We went to the Great Barrier Reef and to Green island ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Nothing really good to say, sorry. 0ld, dirty bath tub, rust in the bathroom. Room desperately needs renos/ updates. I was placed upstairs, on the 1st storey. I had to carry all my travel bags there. I suffer from sciatica so it was painful for me old to walk the stairs. On arrival, I asked the receptonist that I hoped to have a room downstairs, but she said that they're all booked? I booked my accommodation in September, early enough to find a room downstairs. Not happy at all. AlsoTV remote control was broken, taped with a tape. I didn't feel safe in the motel.I couldn't wait to leave. Will not recommend it.

I enjoyed my stay at this property. The room was comfortable. There was some traffic noise over rush hour where I stayed at the back of the hotel, but it was generally pleasant.

Cheap but very cheerful!
The Tropiq is obviously an old building and needs a lot of TLC. We had an issue with some very big unwanted bugs, but dealt with it ourselves. The saving grace of Hotel Tropiq is its’s superb staff, Trevor and his team are amazing and nothing is a problem, if you asked for the moon they would do their best to get it for you. We would have no problem staying in the Tropiq again.
