I am a leukemia patient. My room was booked for me by the organizer of the Light the Night event at the Telus Spark Science Centre the evening of Oct 19th where I was an Honoured Hero. Even though the room was already paid for I was asked for a credit card when I arrived. I don't have a credit card & was told that because of that I could not be allowed access to my room. I asked to speak to a manager & was told that because it was a Saturday, there was no manager on duty. Only when the organizer of the event came and provided a credit card were we allowed to go to our room. We were made to feel less than human. It was awful & I sincerely hope this does not happen to anyone else whose life has been devastated by a deadly disease and fallen on hard times. To say we are extremely disappointed would be an understatement.

The king suite was spacious and offered an area to lounge in while not disturbing anyone sleeping in the bedroom. The Ace casino next door offers great entertainment and food options close by as additional alternatives, although the steak sandwich at the Tonic restaurant in house is incredible.

Modern, classy hotel & comfortable stay!
Modern classy hotel with a clean, comfortable room and a great restaurant on site. The hotel has a great atmosphere with art throughout and thoughtful design. Staff were friendly and helpful. Had some minor issues with WIFI and a loud neighbour after 11:00 PM. Not the fault of the hotel but quiet policies should be mentioned for guests arriving late. Would stay here again and would recommend.

We loved the roof top hot tubs, lights under the bed, easy route to where we needed to go in the city, and great online reviews; these are the reasons we chose applause clique hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. We didnt get a chance to try the lunch or supper menus but next time we visit, we will have to! The only problems that we had with this hotel is that the bed was not as comfortable as we hoped and didnt offer the best sleep. My husband complained of his feet hanging off the end of the bed as well. These arent huge issues though, as we were only there 2 nights. I liked the overall experience enough to return to this hotel.
