This is what we used to call a motor inn. There are a few similar properties in the immediate area. The owners are renovating this old motel to give it a new life.Fortunately they’ve removed the carpets, always so nasty in these old motels. New doors on the rooms would be good next step. I chose it because it was less expensive than most motels. Calgary is so extremely over priced in all aspects. The front desk staff is excellent, very courteous and the room is clean. Ear plugs are provided in the room to alleviate the traffic noise. The bed is comfortable and the ac works. There are take out restaurants and gas stations beside the motel. So for a one night stop it’s fine. The parking lot is full overnite so the motel is meeting a market need for sure.

This was a convenient stay for us. An easy drive to the eye clinic and shopping. They could use new beds and new bedding, but the rooms have been updated and are quite nice.

Good for stopover

We did a one night stay here to start our BC road trip from Edmonton. Good local to get on the highway to Kelowna. This is an updated old style motel. Doesn’t look exceptional from the exterior but our king room on the street level appears to have been updated in last few years. Nice comfy bed. Enough space on the bathroom counter for toiletries. A narrow table with a chair was okay but would have been better to have a second bedside table for phone, iPad and other items All good and desk staff were friendly and efficient.

Smart updated rooms.

The rooms have been renovated to a comfortable modern standard. There was no traffic noise that bothered us. The room was sparkling clean.
