Stayed here on my way out of Calgary. Great location. It was quiet, the staff was friendly. For a 4 star hotel I expect better amenities and a more updated room. But it was a good hotel that served it’s purpose.

Great hotel, great location. Bed was super comfortable. Pool area was very nicely designed. Hot tub was a good temperature. I found the cool pool to be very nice, my friend found it cold, but I thought it was great. The restaurant/ lounge served delicious food/ drinks with great service. Front desk staff were incredibly friendly. I came in on crutches, and one of the front door staff assisted me with my bags. This is my second time here, and I believe there will be many more stays at this particular establishment. Best place to stay in Calgary, very reasonably priced and just an overall great stay.

We love staying here for our kids birthdays which is what we were there for. However this past time was awful. There were various sporting teams staying. Parents were not watching their kids as they ran a much through the halls and elevators. It was extremely hard to fall asleep due to the herd of unattended children running through the halls, a group of girls even thought it was funny to attach clothes pins to the back of my husbands head I the elevator. Front desk/security was called twice before they seemed to stop. There was not enough blankets/pillows/ towels due to these teams taking them all. Fortunately Doug found us an extra pillow and blanket so we could sleep comfortably. The staff at the front desk was amazing. We also decided to partake in the $50 prime rib buffet which was awful. It was chewy, over cooked and had some weird casing on it that looked like fish scales. The seafood mixture was bland and flavorless. The desserts were about the only thing good. Lee was a phenomenal server while the blond young hostess was horribly rude. I came in and asked to exchange a $5 bill for the venting machines and she laughed at me and said she would see what she could do, she informed me they didn’t want to exchange legal currency because it had tape on it and laughed in my face. I left and went to the front desk where they helped me with a smile. Overall this hotel is great most staff is amazing, but I wish I went home that night instead of staying.

Manger at desk was very helpful and friendly when trying to solve issues with Expedia booking even when Expedia couldn’t help me at all. Room was clean and more space than we expected. Pool was excellent for kids and not busy at all.

Always love our stay here. The pool is top notch. My kids (5 and 3) went on the giant water slide so many times. Nice that there’s a restaurant inside the hotel. Perfect location in the middle of granary road and the zoo. Gave it four stars as the cleaning and comfort of bed/pillow could be improved. I am sure we will be back.

Traveled from Vancouver to Calgary and let the hotel know we would be arriving late. Upon arriving late as we said I was greeted by a grumpy front desk clerk who made checking in terrible and made us wait 20 mins before we were able to get into our room at 3 am. When I told this clerk we were notified by the manager of the hotel and expedia that we could skip the check in due to it being so late and us travelling for 14+ hours. This was not the case and when i mentioned to the clerk I was told we would be able to just grab our key and get to our room which would be ready for us. Well it was not. The cot we requested wasnt even in there by 315 and my child was extremely irritable because she was tired. To add insult to injury the clerk was very rude, his excuse was he was new. There was no extra pillows or blankets provided for my 3 girls who slept on the pull out and cot, so my husband and I just gave the two from the king. When i asked front desk clerk if we could get 3 more pillows to accommodate my kids and he told me there was none left in the building. I find that very unlikely as this is a casino resort with 300+ rooms. Also, I paid nearly 300 dollars to be treated like that. I will not be returning and I wouldn't advise anyone to stay here unless you like being treated like crap after a 15 hour day of travelling. Waste of money.. should of just stayed at a motel in calgary!! Better treatment.

I really hate to say this. But food is very important when you are a more isolated property. That area was a major fail for this hotel. I’ve actually never had worst food at any hotel ever and I’ve traveled a lot.

This was our second stay at the Deerfoot Inn and we really love the hotel. It's spacious and clean, the staff is always friendly and very helpful. The teens love that the pool is open until midnight! Parking is super easy and it's so accessible to all other parts of the city by car. We will definitely be back!
