Generally had a pleasant stay at this property other than a few issues over our 3 night stay. We got in on a late flight into Calgary and the overnight staff was friendly and helpful during our check in. We had an oversized vehicle that would not fit in the underground parking but thankfully they had oversized parking outside that was just next door. There are assigned spots for oversized parking but it seemed that the people using it did not understand that and we had to update the front desk the current spot we were parked in cause someone else was in our spot every night. Rooms were a decent size and clean. The shower in our room has some signs of mold and could be due to have the caulking redone. The hotel is also next to the light rail system so you will definitely hear the trains go by in the rooms. The one issue that rubbed me the wrong way was that as I dropped my parents off in front to park the car, they asked the front desk for a bottle of water and were told to purchase one from the vending machine. I went to the front desk on my way inside and asked for a bottle of water and was given one. I was shocked to find out my parents were refused a bottle of water when I was able to get one 2 minutes later. They don’t speak perfect English and maybe the staff thought they could get away with not giving the same level of service as someone else that fluent. Whatever the motive was behind it, I believe removing a star from the rating is valid.

Won't stay here again.
The front desk was not friendly when we checked in. The floor and my room smelled like cigarette smoke but I was too exhausted to bother trying to get help with that. They did offer to comp my parking when I told them at check out but I wasn't looking for anything free just a nice stay in a relatively pricey hotel. I was also told over the phone that the Government of Alberta discount only applied to the Airport Sandman and when I asked at the front desk they said unfortunately they couldn't grant me the discount because I already booked. Also, the heater in the room sounds like an explosion every time it starts up. Impossible to sleep through that. Unfortunately I will never stay at this hotel again.
